- Oh my word! This is so good, what the heck
- I stumbled upon the first part and was like 'oh, cute a soulmate au oneshot' but then I read part 2 and part 3 and oh my fudge!
- This is not just some silly cute soulmate au
- Like, yes, there are sweet and cute moments and they're adorable platonic soulmates and I love them
- But that's not all!
- There's some nice gut wrenching angst and hurt/comfort
- But more than that, is their relationship! Idk how to explain how lovely it is written in this fic. I need to pull out some quotes.
- And there's some neat world building aspects that I love too!
- And I really love how Rocky was written, particularly during his pov parts
- Oh my word, and I haven't even got into Ryland's sight issues and the damaged soul mark ahhhhh
- I still have more thoughts, but I'm too tired. Will come back later and better distill my thoughts -

Summary
Pins and needles in my hands and feet have turned into full-on numbness in some areas. My legs ache. I am weak and tired. My gums have finally started bleeding. My arms display a colorful wave of bruises where blood has been taken. I have only a few days of coma slurry left. And. There are gaps in my memory. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad that I am able to sometimes remember this.
I can also recognize the fact that I have become more withdrawn and irritable, but it’s as if I can’t physically stop myself from acting on those emotions instead of dealing with them in a rational manner.
I sit in the corner of my habitat, knees drawn up and face pressed against the xenonite, away from the commotion. They’re letting me be for now, but I can tell every Eridian is focused on me regardless as they pack up Armando and other medical detritus.
“Want Rocky here,” I mutter stubbornly against the translucent surface. They know this. I know they know this. I don’t understand why they’re keeping me from him. There’s a physical agony in my chest. I miss him so much.

“Does Grace have soulmate, question? Grace said he had no mate.”
Grace lets out a small—albeit a little sad—chuckle. “I’m pretty sure I don’t have one.”
“What?!” Rocky screeches.
Grace flinches back a bit from the noise. At least Rocky has the gall to look a little sympathetic after his outburst.
“Apology apology apology, just confused.”
Grace nods in agreement. “I’m not too sure about it either, buddy, but people used to look down on me for it– no, not down,” he thinks, trying his best to pull at any other memories soulmate related of his that are willing to come to the surface of his mind, “They looked at me with pity,” He trails off.
“No no no. Not right. Grace have soulmate, surely.”
Grace laughs and shakes his head. “At this point, I hope I don’t have one. Imagine having the other half of you shot up into space before you could even meet them. I wouldn’t want to do that to them.”
“But Grace go home now, Grace find mate!”
