Astarion sauntered over to the grates. “Traps. Whoever this Necromancer was, he didn’t want anyone beyond this door.” His grin was feral as he knelt down. “That means something valuable must be stashed away.”
“Usually. I can’t wait to find out what.” Kerica sounded eager and she hopped over to join him.
“Really. You two are unbelievable. Shouldn’t we leave dangerous things /alone/?” Shadowheart crossed her arms.
Astarion scoffed. “I’m happy to unlock doors and disable traps if it means good treasure.”
Kerica motioned at him as he literally started on the iron bar door once he was done with the fire grate. “See? He gets it.”
Astarion’s lips twitched in mirth, but he had his back to them.

She closed her eyes, unable to stare into his empty red pools. "Slowly. Please, Astarion. I trust you."Nothing happened. Much to her surprise, when she peeked up, some flicker of light had returned. Like they were in a dark hall and a torch was around the corner.
"You do. Don't you?" His hand cupped her jaw and thumbed her bottom lip. "You really shouldn’t, you know.” He murmured, and with the distraction of his touch, she felt him.
“Yet here I am.” Jade rasped, nipping at his thumb.
“Here you are.” He agreed, breathless, eyes hazy, and mouth slackened.

Astarion opened his blood-red eyes to find your arms wrapped around him as you slept peacefully in your shared bed. He gently pulled you off of himself and set you aside before going to the window. He threw the drapes open with a dramatic flourish to let in the moonlight and took a deep breath. Then he turned away, strode to a table, and lit a candle. The dim light illuminated him as he brushed his hair and pointlessly looked into a large vanity mirror. He then set the brush down and reached into a small metal bowl that held two rings. He plucked the solid gold ring from it and slid it onto the third finger of his left hand.
(Astarion is free and marries you despite thinking you deserve better.)

“Forgive me for being ah, nosy,” he chortles, and you roll your eyes at the pun. “But I couldn’t help but notice a particular… aroma wafting from your direction.”
You blink and subtly try to sniff yourself, confused and more than a little annoyed with his roundabout insults. He simply laughs and shakes his head. “No, no, not that. Believe me, I certainly don’t smell any more like a summer’s day than you do after the day we’ve had. No, I meant… well, you smell like blood, darling. And yet you haven’t a speck on you.” He looks you up and down as he speaks, almost leering at you.
You can’t tell if he just thinks of you as a snack, or as something more. Whatever it is, you like it. Except for right now, because it dawns on you immediately what he’s smelling, and you want to melt into the ground right where you stand. Evidently, Astarion doesn’t need to see to know that your cycle has started. He can smell it.
Astarion simply chuckles and steps closer. “I was right, wasn’t I? There’s no need to be embarrassed, sweetheart, the monthly cycle is perfectly natural—“
Astarion eats you out on your period. That's it. That's the fic. Because there aren't enough of them. Set during Act 1.
