“That.” Alhaitham reaches forward, then. He grabs Kaveh’s chin and directs the other man’s gaze towards three hearts that have drifted off to Alhaitham’s right.
“O-oh,” Kaveh chokes out, torn between mortified and exceedingly overwhelmed. He has some explaining to do.
Kaveh temporarily suffers from a strange illness where hearts appear whenever his emotions are at a high. Lucky for him, those hearts seem to have a thing for Alhaitham. Go figure.

I promise I tried to leave her behind, but she totally insisted on coming with me! Followed me all the way home, just because I gave her some water. The poor thing was so thirsty.”
Alhaitham blinked, sighing deeply. The shock had mostly worn away: ridiculous as the situation was, it was actually quite in line with his roommate’s usual behaviour.
