    And sure. Luz had brought witches back with her.

    But they were the least of Vee’s concern.

    (a rewrite of my other work 'the cat will eat.' and is also inspired by dark matter by mysterycyclone. Some aspects of the fic definitely show that it was inspired by that work of art.)

    The sound of howling in Lloyds ear intensifies as he turns to see his friends, looks between fright, worry and shock painted on their faces. They were saying something, something that Lloyd couldn't hear over the wind.

    And then he hears a sound, so loud and close he physically jumps and covers his ears. His eyes barely registered a faint purple glow under his feet before he fell through the ground and watched as the rip he just fell through closed itself.

    He blacked out the second he hit what he assumed to be the ground, and he awoke to a gruff voice that reminded him of Cole.

    "he's waking up."

    After the end of the Sons of Garmadon, the ninja believe they can finally catch a break. Really though, did they really think the universe would give them that chance? Suddenly, the remains of the Time Twins mech fall from above them, not including the Twins themselves, a blessing or a curse they'd never know. Despite the missing Time Blades, the residual energy sends a wave outwards.

    And suddenly, everything stops.

    And the Ninja are thrown through time. The date? Two weeks after the first battle with Krux and Acronix. Right in the middle of the elemental alliance.

    Lloyd is done, like completely, sincerely done. All he wanted was breakfast! Was that truly too much to ask? Instead of breakfast he’s sucked into a portal, spends who knows how long just falling and is then prompty spat out outside the Monastery. He was just inside! So after walking back up those 1,000 steps, instead of finding his friends, he finds strangers…and his dad!

    Or; Lloyd time travels to the past and gets to be with his family!
