    Giulio felt his heart ache. Aren't you grieving your previous life? You fled Baghdad and never asked for any of your belongings to be sent here, how is that different from having your home destroyed? You've been plucked from your community, uprooted, and isolated from your means of devotion. You are not hiding in here because you are tired. You are hiding because you can't stand anymore the life others chose for you, that's all.
