    All my disturbing, unsettling fics.

“You’re a heap of flesh and guts and blood in a wax museum. The only thing real. Sickeningly real. Crimson and warm where the others are pale and cold. Revoltingly red, nauseatingly alive. You’re a child in a graveyard.”

    Summary

Wild had just assumed he was the only one that could glide around on his own. Sky didn't use his sailcloth unless he was in his Hyrule, and everyone else stayed on the ground. So when he watches Wind use his deku leaf for the first time, that begs the question: who else can fly? Most of them, apparently.

An exploration of how the paraglider compares to the deku leaf, sailcloth, and roc's capes, with a smaller focus on other similarities that the Chain discover about each other.

    Summary

When Wild woke up, he was a bit more embarrassed. He usually slept further away from the others, at least at first, since they’d joined while everyone else had already been marginally more acquainted with each other. Now he was in the middle of camp while everyone else was starting to mill around. His checks flushed light pink and he hastily pushed himself into a sitting position, hand lingering in his dark gray fur for only an extra moment before distancing himself.

“I got cold,” Wild mumbled, a feeble excuse that fell on deaf ears as everyone began packing up around them.

Twilight tilted his head quizzically to the side. He’d seen the boy sleep in his snowquill armor before.

Wild hastily got to his feet and began gathering his blankets to throw into his Sheikah slate. “Don’t look at me like that! Why’re you still transformed, anyway?” he said, almost accusatory.

    OR

Twilight finds out that if he falls asleep as a wolf then members of the Chain will start using him as a pillow.

    Summary

At that final ripple that gently disturbs the surface of the sea when the last of Hyrule has been, truly, finally, submerged, the girl who Hyrule would have had as its princess, its goddess, ancient blood stoked to a golden, burning blaze; she doesn’t turn. She doesn’t pause in her life, doesn’t stop at any odd feeling of loss, or heartbreak, or grief.

She doesn’t do anything at all; she has no ties to Hyrule. She was not born on its land. She does not pray to its gods. The goddess-blood within her is a handful of faint-glowing specks, fireflies in the night; inert. Inactive. Fading.

There is nothing to bind her to Hyrule.

She does not feel it die.

(Or; Tetra, as a daughter of the Great Sea, and what comes after the last of Hyrule's ghosts are laid to rest on the ocean floor.)

    Summary

In every era, there exists locations that echo familiarity - places left to fade into obscurity, villages lost to time, hidden glades where only the worthy may go... To our heroes, these places beckon them, whether they're meant to find them or not. For the heroes that have already experienced these places during their own adventures and understand them for what they are, it's better that they stay hidden while the others are with them.
But any Link is bound to discover (or rediscover) that which they weren't meant to.
