Summary
Really, Sam wasn't even supposed to be in this small-as-fuck town in the middle of nowhere, he was just unfortunate enough to be driving when a major snowstorm was due to hit. It was sheer dumb luck he even walked into the café.
It was as he was ordering that he caught an achingly familiar and omega scent: apples, baked dough, vanilla, with just a hint of cinnamon, and he looked from the menu to the barista, eyes processing brown-blonde hair, freckled skin, and green eyes. Sam stared in surprise, and the barista looked equally shocked.
"Dean?" Sam gasped.
Sam hasn't seen his brother in thirteen years and hasn't heard from him in ten. All of his efforts to locate Dean have been in vain, but it seems that fate favors Sam, because Sam has just found his brother. Sam is wildly unprepared to discover what Dean's life has become.
To put it mildly... it's not at all what he expects.

But that’s the whole reason he’s here, isn’t it? He’s not out here hunting Humans. He’s not even hunting deer, or bears, or anything else that featured in Bambi. He’s out here, freezing his nuts off every night, because he’s hunting Angels.
Sometimes Dean wishes that Angels were like how they’re described in the Bible. How people from time too old for him to care much about thought Angels were messengers and warriors of God, protectors of Humans. He knows that how they’re really described in the Bible is actually pretty terrifying, but at least they were told by God that they’re supposed to love Humans, right?
That’s a thousand times better than what Angels really turned out to be.

Accounts Manager Dean Winchester and CPA Castiel Novak have been working at the same large company for several months, only interacting through office IM. Then a typo on an expense report leads to an unexpected phone call that results in a simmering crush on both ends of the line, despite neither knowing what the other looks like. Office romances typically never work out, especially when one of them has a slightly bad (though undeserved) reputation, and the other has a slightly bad track record with lovers. But their first face-to-face meeting at the company Christmas party makes them both willing to give it a go. Through a whirlwind romance, Dean wonders if they're moving too fast, and Castiel worries that he's opening himself up for another devastating heartbreak. Together, it turns out that sometimes good things do happen.

Summary
When angels are taken to Re-Education, their memories are altered, which means they don’t remember making the mistakes that brought them there. So naturally, it made sense to Michael that Castiel kept rebelling because he never remembered the lessons he needed to learn. To keep the rebel angel from continuing his interference, Michael not only returns all of Castiel’s stolen memories but takes his Grace as well.
Castiel always knew that when an angel’s Grace was ripped out it was quite painful. He didn’t know that he’d been taken to Re-Education more than that time some months previous. He didn’t expect the true memories that would rush back at him and he certainly didn’t expect to remember that he hadn’t always been a full angel. It just figured that the other half of him was something that Dean didn’t understand.
Now that he was completely human Castiel felt completely useless and tells Dean as much. But Dean doesn’t give up on those he considers family and isn’t gonna toss Cas to the streets just because he’s human. In fact, maybe Cas being human was just what they both needed to stop ignoring the feelings they’d both been running from.- Language:

This is why, when their resident guardian angel was neutralized and kidnapped by what looked like a group of New Satanists wannabes, Dean was not only far-more-than-marginally irritated but had also no trouble in realizing that, given the relative luck that had seemed to bless them in the last few months, if they didn't do anything to stop it as soon as possible, he and Sam were going to have on their hands a problem of the third kind the like of which they'd never witnessed before.
Required ritual sacrifice to summon the umpteen forgotten deity plus nerdy angel in distress? With their luck it was probably going to jump-start the next New Apocalypse on Earth. Not a problem in itself - they were basically the Jedi Masters of stopping the 'End of the World as we know it' by now - but Dean would find himself with one socially awkward angel less hovering over his shoulder and he simply could not allow that to happen.
