Summary
The propaganda film was practically burned into the insides of Gyorgi's eyelids from how many times he'd recalled it over the years while twisting to face the wall in the dark of his tradesguild barrack bunk, telling himself every time that it was the miracle of reform he was getting off to, and not the split lip mouthing "harder, please, harder, sorry, sorry, sorry," before it had cut to a profile angle showing the wires burrowing into his brain.

Summary
After complete defeat at the hands of giant insect-like aliens, humanity is enslaved and converted into perfect egg-hosts. Various humans try different tactics to fight, beg, or reason their way out of it, if they even know it's going to happen, but they all end up the same way: perfectly loyal to their new overlords, and happy to take as many eggs as they're given.

Summary
What was once a small colony-laden planet was annihilated by a horrifying alien race of giant insects that killed the entire existing human population, relentlessly tearing apart survivors with their massive ovipositors while attempting to lay eggs in their dying bodies. No sane person would go there for a second, nevermind move there permanently! Henrik isn't sane in the slightest however, and he's got a fool-proof plan to be the first human to bounce on one of those ovipositors and live to tell the tale.

Summary
The library itself held a very small collection, hidden in the far back on the bottom shelves where an astartes was unlikely to notice them. Caelum had flipped through them, unsure of what he was expecting to find. It definitely wasn’t tales of buxom women being kidnapped by arrogant Inquisitors for information that was apparently being kept between her legs, or of beautiful rebels being led back into the Emperor’s light by stern Interrogators.
But those were nothing compared to the books he would find in the keepings of traitors and heretics. Here, it was his brothers and cousins who were both the source of obsession and the obsessors.

Summary
The Passion of Rogal Dorn is celebrated each year on the great battle barges of the Imperial Fists, commemorating the valiant sacrifice of their holy genefather, giving each brother the occasion to reflect on their Primarch's fortitude and determination while also allowing them a rare opportunity to relieve the constant stress of their noble calling. On the Phalanx, where the next generation of Imperial Fists are trained, the Passion is traditionally performed and attended primarily for the benefit of the neophytes, to impress upon them the steadfastness of Dorn—though of course as many battle-brothers as may attend do so, for none would miss a chance for such communion with their Primarch.

Summary
He rises up through the darkness, weightless, until he finds his footing again. He's without his armor, bare feet on smooth cold steel, and he knows without being told that he must climb. This is a dream, he decides after a few steps up a darkened staircase, or perhaps a vision. He climbs until he reaches the light, and then the room he enters is, must be, some sanctum hidden within the Phalanx, though he has never seen it before.

Summary
“You were invited as my bondmate,” Spock continues, “and not as Captain of the Enterprise.”
“I suppose that would be correct, yes.”
On the bed, McCoy has fallen silent– though Jim can see him watching with apt attention from the corner of his vision.
Spock hesitates for the briefest of moments. “And as such, it would be improper if I were not the one to lead our interactions for the evening.”
Jim pauses, with Spock’s fingers still wrapped gently around his wrists. “I’m afraid I don’t understand.”
“He wants you to be his trophy husband,” McCoy says flatly. “Isn’t that right, Spock?”
Spock turns his gaze to McCoy, with his expression carefully neutral. He tilts his head. “I am unfamiliar with the phrase.”
McCoy snorts. He downs the rest of his drink. “You want him to be quiet and obedient. Just a pretty thing on your arm to show off.”
