Summary
There’s a teddy in Soap’s bed; a beaten-up, old brown bear. Well-loved, if the state of the fur is any indication. Ghost lets out a choked laugh, mostly at his own expense. He wishes he was there, suddenly, wishes he was by Johnny’s side as he walked through the doorway and realised that his childhood room was waiting for him like a time capsule. Wishes he got to see the embarrassed scrunch of his face, the way the tips of his ears would flush red.
Soap has a whole second life, outside of the SAS. He’s got a mother, and a poorly-decorated bedroom, and a bear. All Ghost has is a flat that will be the same it is today as it will be the day he dies, like he was never even here at all.

Harris had an unofficial poll on a whiteboard in the media team’s office: Team Hollander vs Team Rozanov; something that apparently was never allowed to be revealed to the general public according to Harris’s strong warning the first time Wyatt had seen it. He had promptly and dramatically signed his name under Team Hollander, though he had to write small in the little space left. He had obviously landed up at the best team possible - at least when it came to being a fan of Shane Hollander.
Then Ilya Rozanov was traded to Ottawa.
Suddenly, Shane Hollander went from a Hockey God, whose presence Wyatt was graced with a few times a year, to the most talked about figure in the Centaurs locker room.

“We have to go. Now.” Soap’s shaky voice sounded loud after being so careful to make no noise, but he didn’t care.
“MacTavish?” Price asked at the same time as Ghost uttered a concerned “Johnny?”
“Now.” He repeated fiercely, already moving to grab Ghost from the ground.
Soap, Ghost, Price and Gaz are on a mission to take out Hassan's allies. It goes south when explosives cause the cave system to collapse, injuring and trapping the team.

That hurt some, the knowledge that Soap only wanted him for this. But if this was the extent of Soap’s need for him, Ghost wouldn’t argue. Would sit there and behave as Soap fucked himself on his knotting toys, would let him break the heat like that.
Because Soap could have gone to any alpha on base. Could have flashed that pretty scent and had any one of them lining up to help.

Ringing… The missile. They needed to take cover. He needed to get them out alive. They were too young to die.

What was meant to be a simple supervision mission for Ghost goes awfully wrong, when the intel they were given was incorrect. Miles away from base, with no way to communicate for help, he's once again been buried alive and left for dead.

By the time Lightning manages to weed himself out of the eye of the media, chats quickly with Rusty and Dusty, and climbs into the passenger seat of Doc's prized Hornet, all he wants to do is sleep for three days straight.
But not yet.
"C'mon kid, let's get you home," Doc says, pulling the Hornet out of the parking spot and starting down the road to the rest of the world outside the stadium.
"Not yet," he says through a yawn. He eyes the clock. Nearly midnight. Damn. He voices his thought anyway. "I... Want to go to the hospital."
Doc eyes him, scanning him. "You alright, kid?"
"Yeah, yeah, no, I'm fine." He waves of Doc's worry. "I just..." He doesn't know how to phrase it that doesn't make him sound like a child.
Doc fills in for him, though. "You wanna visit Weathers?"
