“Goodnight, Mama. I love you too,” Selim said, gripping the sheets tightly.
Mama turned off the lights and closed the door.
He hated the dark.
It made his chest hurt and his ears ring.
But he was a big boy now, and big boys were brave. They could face things they were scared of even if they were scared. Like St. George and the Dragon.
So Selim closed his eyes, breathed slowly like Mama taught him, and fell into a fitful slumber.

Pride woke with a strangled gasp, fighting the sheets that had tangled around him in sleep.
In which Selim wakes up from a nightmare.
And Pride realizes he’s living in one.

The kid’s smile had fully dropped, but there was an awareness to his eyes that wasn’t there before. A spark.

His voice sounded awful. Tiny and so rough it was barely understandable. It was like he hadn’t had water in a long, long time.
“Yeah! That’s right! My hero name is gonna be Loud Cloud. Can I ask what’s yours?”

Summary
Redo looked up at the sky, watching the rain fall.
She had come from overseas. Other projects waited for her across the world, but after the truth of Japan’s new number one went viral…she figured her services were more needed here.
Law enforcement did not agree with her methods. They were blind. They did not see the possibilities, all the alternate paths an individual could take. They did not see that becoming a villain, in many cases, was only one such path.
Redo looked back down at Touya Todoroki.
He deserved a redo. So did many others here. She would be busy.
Redo turned around, and walked away.
The only sound in the alley was the falling rain.

“You’re a real hero!” The emergency worker said as she rushed off, presumably to grab some paperwork.
All for One almost snorted.
Hardly.
He turned around and walked away from the scene with the two boys in his arms, his feet picking carefully through the rubble.
Besides, his little Izuku would be lonely without anyone else his age. He could use a playmate, especially one as amusing as this one.
Perhaps Kacchan would prove useful.
Provided he didn’t become too troublesome.
All for One was gone before the worker even turned around.

“The color or the rock?” I tease, earning myself a low staccato noise not unlike what a human might sound like when faking a laugh.
And then, from one second to another, he straightens. I sense the shift in the air, and as I rise from my squat, his gaze follows me very, very slowly.
“What?” I ask.
“Say name of this again,” he says, and I tilt my head. He’s never needed me to repeat something before. His hearing is immaculate, and he’s never once forgotten something I’ve told him.
“It’s a rock.”
He doesn’t move. He stares at me with his featureless face until even that feels more unsettling than eye contact.
“Grace,” Rocky says flatly. “You are fucking kidding me, question?”
