Summary
Something ignited inside her at Wednesday’s degrading tone, and Enid growled lowly under her breath, suddenly pushing Wednesday further up against the tree. Both of her hands planted beside Wednesday’s head, forcefully trapping her, their fronts flushed together. She leaned down closer to the other girl’s ear.
Wednesday couldn’t help but shiver at the warm breath hitting her ear. She was surprised by the sudden aggression coming from her typically bubbly roommate.
She gasped when Enid unexpectedly nipped at her earlobe.
“Because you’re mine,” the wolf growled, possession thick in her tone.
OR
The one where the furs make a stupid bet. Whoever can get Wednesday to say yes to a date gets 100 bucks. Enid, for obvious reasons, doesn’t like it one bit.

It was heavy cream paper, sealed with black wax stamped in a crest Enid didn’t recognise. Her name was written across the front in a precise, old-fashioned hand: Enid Sinclair.
Enid flopped onto her bed, tore it open, and unfolded the sheet inside. The first line made her bark out a laugh.
“Obituary: Enid Sinclair, survived by excessive glitter and poor taste.”

Summary
Enid reaches to grasp Wednesday’s shoulders, but Wednesday quickly steps back, a look of hurt flashes across Enid’s face.
Enid takes back her hands, putting them behind her back. “Is this about how we left things off last year when I transformed?” Enid stares at the ground with shame.
Wednesday sighs and finally responds, breaking eye contact. “No, Enid, I-”
“If it is, then I'm sorry. I can't help who my wolf chooses as their mate. I don't want this to be awkward between us. I hoped we could have ignored it, but if it makes you uncomfortable, I can change rooms and move in wi-”
“No. You do not need to move anywhere. And no, I'm not uncomfortable about your werewolf traditions, I've accepted it the moment you saved my life.”
“Then what is it?” Enid pleads
“I can't disclose that information to you.”
Or
Wednesday avoids Enid in order to save her from her impending death, but it only leads to major miscommunications where Enid gets drunk at a party and Wednesday has to go get her.

The sinking feeling only grows worse when she considers how it got worse when Enid drew near. Now that Enid could fully wolf out… did Wednesday view her as a potential danger? Unable to reign in her wolf? Enid racks her brain, trying to remember if she had her claws out the past few times she's visited.

Enid’s mouth makes a small ‘o’. She blinks.
“I wasn’t staring at you,” she says.

Wednesday takes a single step closer, her brows are slightly furrowed in confusion and she brings her arms up to cross against her chest. “… Xavier?” she incredulously asks. “You’re interested in him?”
Enid sputters, “W—WHAT,” she shoots up from where she was sitting. “EW! No. Willa, ew, how did—how did you even go there!”

She watches as Enid hesitates, then finally toes off her shoes and crawls onto the bed. The mattress dips under her weight. She doesn’t press against Wednesday at first. She just sits there, close enough that their shoulders brush.
It’s strange, having her this near without the usual flurry of noise and motion. Warmth radiates off her, steady and unyielding. It seeps through the hospital gown and into Wednesday’s skin.
Enid exhales, slower this time, the fight in her shoulders loosening. “You scared me so bad.”
“I’ll try not to do it again,” Wednesday says, though she knows her tone makes it sound less like a promise and more like a reluctant compromise.
