Summary

Summary
It wasn't easy dropping Cassandra off in Equis and leaving her there, Caine wanted nothing more than to stay by her side and make sure she recovered. But Caine was a criminal, it was too dangerous. Besides, Cassandra had never been hers to keep. Leaving here there meant granting her freedom which she deserved.
But when Caine later finds out that Cassandra was arrested for crimes involving the moonstone, she knows she has to do whatever it takes to free her. She considers a prison break, but if she gets caught then nobody will be able to save her, so instead she redirects her ship towards Corona and the one person with the power to save Cassandra.
Due process however takes time and during this time Cassandra continued to deteriorate in one of the worst prisons in the world.
The guilt Caine feels is great, so she stays around for the recovery, determined to see it through no matter how long it takes.An AU of Through Storms I Found You.
Basically 41 chapters of slow, none-linear recovery and two lesbians awkwardly failing to be honest about their feeling for one another.

Chapter summary: Cassandra heads into an abandoned town to collect correspondence from King Frederic and her father. The contents of these letters sends her spiraling, and the appearance of a very annoying pirate is not exactly helping.
