Summary
Thanksgiving Day 1994 - Stevie Harrington leaves her parents house distraught after another fight about how she's raising her two children alone and the disgrace her divorce from Tommy Hagan has brought on the family. When her station wagon begins to act up and she breaks down on the icy, empty streets of Hawkins she thinks that this is just another bad event adding onto the pile that is her doomed life. What she doesn't know is that actually everything is about to change for the good as Edie Munson pulls over to help the stranded former prom queen out.

“Alright,” Eddie says eventually, “Wheeler, your turn. Truth or dare.”
“Truth,” she says, calm as ever.
“Boring,” he drags out, though his eyes narrow just slightly, like he’s already making something up. “Fine, then. Let’s make this interesting, shall we?”
Eddie gets that wicked, mischievous look whenever he’s about to say something unhinged, something he knows he shouldn’t.
And then he moves his gaze past Robin, across Jonathan, until it finally lands on Steve. He grins.
“Okay, Nance,” Eddie says, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees. “Confirm or deny something for me real quick.”
Eddie waves a hand in Steve’s direction and smiles sweetly. “You know, there’s been talk. Rumors. Legend. Whispers in the wind. Is Harrington’s oh so famous reputation real —“
Then just little more pointed:

“S-Steve?” Eddie asked as the brunette guided his hand over his waist, letting Eddie’s calloused fingertips smooth across several tiny protruding scars he’d probably be able to see if a light was on. They were sitting in the dark, though, and Eddie was making Steve sigh lightly with his touch.
“It was pretty deep and did some nerve damage. Let me tell you, t-that feels really nice.” Steve closed his eyes, lashes still wet from his tears as he just enjoyed Eddie’s rough palms.
