With no Big Bads on Hawkins‘ ass at the moment, the Upside Down is a lot more tame than usual. Things that were going bump in the night are being significantly less bumpy. Obviously, this means that Dustin wants to take the opportunity to go back there for some “research” in the name of “science”, meaning he wants to bring some shit back to poke at it.
Steve, being Steve, gets roped into chaperoning the little field trip. Grudgingly, because Dustin won’t leave him alone about his adult choices, but he still does it. It’ll be a quick visit, in and out, put some random garbage in a bucket and leave.
Turns out, science goes looking for YOU on this side of the gate.

But I wondered what would happen if the reader was a Star Wars nerd who had been trying her whole life to be a Jedi and she actually was Force sensitive? How would the Jedi Council reconcile the existence of a Force-sensitive who appears to know all the Jedi Lore and teachings but isn’t in any of their records? How would their lives be changed by that?
