Summary
Hank and Connor, after the events at Cyberlife Tower, follow the evacuation order still in effect and leave Detroit. Fearing for Connor’s life, they stay away and settle down with Sumo, falling in love in the process. Hank can’t believe he’s been so lucky to not only survive the gunshot wound he’d sustained, but also date someone who’s so far out of his league they’re not even playing the same game.
And then one day an RK800 knocks on their door and claims that he’s Connor, and that the android Hank has been living with is Model 60.

If she felt the most comfortable around him right now, he’d listen if she decided to vent to him. If nothing else, he could listen.

Chapter One: “This world was too loud, too smelly, too bright.” - Set within the first couple of episodes of season 2, Aelita is overwhelmed by too much sensory input and social expectations on Earth. Odd helps her.
Chapter Two: “For all that Odd seemed to be an open book, Aelita had learned that he was an expert at dodging and weaving his words and actions.” - Set shortly after ‘Saint Valentine’s Day,’ Odd avoids Aelita. Aelita demands to know why.
Chapter Three: “He felt a scream bubble up in his throat, felt his thoughts stuck on a loop of protect Aelita, protect Aelita, protect Aelita.” - Set shortly post-season 4, Odd pushes Aelita out of the way of a speeding car. Aelita has something to say about that.
Chapter Four: “Something must have gone wrong with the materialization program, and now her body was falling apart.” - Set early in season 2, Aelita catches a cold and, because no one ever told her what a cold was, believes she’s dying. Odd corrects this assumption.
