Summary
Gi-hun’s rebellion failed. Now imprisoned, he’s nothing more than a pawn in a game he thought he could escape. The Front Man has plans for him, and he’s not content with just breaking Gi-hun physically - he wants to remake him, reshape him into a tool of the system. The pull of surrender becomes harder to resist with each passing moment, as the Front Man’s dark brand of affection worms its way under Gi-hun’s skin.
But a mysterious soldier, whose presence feels eerily familiar, watches from the shadows, unsettling Gi-hun with memories he can’t quite reach and dredging up a past that threatens to shatter what little sanity he has left.
Or:
Gi-hun is torn between the Front Man’s suffocating grip and a ghost from his past - one who may be the key to his salvation or his destruction.

Summary
“No, when you—when you smile like that,” Gi-hun says, shuddering. “It makes me miss him.”
“Who?” In-ho asks. He can’t help it, Gi-hun always piques his curiosity. “Jung-bae sshi? Sang-woo sshi?” He uses their real names for once. After hearing some of Gi-hun’s stories on the rare occasions he felt like sharing, In-ho can't help but use their names in place of their numbers. It makes In-ho feel like he knows them, too.
He's often thought about shooting Jung-bae with shaking hands, watching the hopelessness in his eyes as he turned to face Gi-hun. But what felt like pricks of guilt then, feels like sharp pains in his chest these days. He rolls around at night, and thinks, and feels. It’s a mystery why.
In-ho looks at Gi-hun sitting in front of him, the visceral reaction to Jung-bae’s name still strong as ever.
Is it really a mystery anymore? The influence of Seong Gi-hun and the thousand souls he carries with him is quite strong.
or: gi-hun and in-ho make it out alive, but gi-hun wants nothing to do with the latter. unfortunately, in-ho has other plans.

Summary
In-ho moved slowly across the terrain, as if the explosions didn’t threaten obliterate everything. The baby whimpered with a weak, desperate sound that was lost amidst the creaking of the dying island. But it was what he saw as he passed by the circle-shaped structure that stopped his heart: Gi-hun’s face, pale as wax beneath the blood and dust. Minutes before, he had tried to confirm the impossible—the faintest, the most fragile vibration. Now, however, he detected a tiny wisp, a ghost of breath, forming and vanishing with an agonizing rhythm amidst the chaos. A movement as faint as the flutter of a dying bird.
He was still breathing.

Summary
It’s all over, isn’t it?
Gi-hun lost, the plan failed, it all came to a fumbling, grinding halt. And he took all of his closest friends down with him:
Jung-bae.
Young-il.
People he wished he’d learned the names of, people whose deaths burn like a brand, raw against aching flesh.
And he’s back. Back in the games. Thrown right back down to where he started.
It’s a cruel kind of punishment—nothing changing at all. Only the memories of everything he threw away. Only the reminder of his failure.
Any player who interferes with the game's proceedings will be eliminated. He knows that.
The next game, Gi-hun doesn’t care.
He throws himself against the strict structure of the rules, expecting—hoping—to be shattered in the process. That way, maybe, he can finally be broken on his own terms.
It comes as a surprise, then, when a ghost comes to put him back together.
OR: Gi-hun is back in the FUCKING BUILDING AGAIN, with a lot of repressed feelings and an even larger death wish. That is, until he’s face to face with the man he planned to murder. Then—well, then things become a little more complicated. Begins almost directly following the events of Season 2.

Summary
He selfishly wishes he never joined these games in the first place. More than anything, he wishes for a reality where he never knew Saebyeok or Ali. Where Sangwoo remained distant, never to be seen again.
That’s not true. If you didn’t join, I would’ve won.
Or he could’ve lost. There’s no telling, is there?
Like there is no telling with 001, who stares ahead, lost in his own world. He’s on the brink of losing everything. His wife, his child, his life. That money represents a second chance. A restart. Just as it did for Gihun, who had nothing to lose, who simply wanted to do right by his family, before people started dying around him.
In which Sangwoo appears as a ghost only Gihun can see, and how that changes the plot.

Hwang In-ho watches as Gi-hun is forced back into the room with the other players.
He sees that the fight has left him.
In-ho knows, if he doesn’t step in, Gi-hun will be dead by the next game. This should be good news- he has incited a rebellion after all, him gone would be one less problem on In-ho’s plate.
So why does he feel heavy to think of Gi-hun dying?
There’s only one way for In-ho to keep tabs on Gi-hun and keep him alive for a later date: to re-enter the game.
“Young-il?”
