So he tries the one thing that might actually help: To make an ally out of an enemy.
This is a story where Voldemort becomes a little more like Harry and Harry becomes a little more like him. Meeting in the middle they set out to change their world. -

Lord Voldemort pushed through with all magic and rage and apparated while following that pull of magic inside him that screamed Harry Potter.
He landed in the middle of a bright, sunlit street filled with almost identical houses in a suffocating muggle place. Voldemort turned around, hissing at a child playing in their garden and making her run inside with a scream that might have delighted him any other day.
His official return to the wizarding world was supposed to be dramatic, planned to perfection as the historical moment it was. Now his first official sighting was scaring children like some common ruffian. As always; his plans were utterly destroyed by Harry fucking Potter.

After Nagini's attack on Mr Weasley in 5th year, Harry sneak off and steal the Prophecy without anyone noticing.
Instead, Harry is safely behind the wards on Privet Drive when Voldemort realise he has the prophecy.

It took the drastic move of Harry cutting his hair and getting rid of his glasses before Severus could see anything else than a mini James. But once he did he realised that he was not the only one blinded to the boy.
The rest of the Wizarding world could only see the famed Boy-who-lived. Not the traumatised teen, with a far to heavy burden placed on his shoulders. With the clarity of his new sight he is horrified to see just how much the boy is suffering.
When no one else tries to help Harry, Severus steps in. -

When the latent basilisk venom and phoenix tears in his blood started making dramatic changes to his body, he wasn’t that concerned. It’s not like he was going to live long enough for it to be a problem anyway.
Even if he had planned to live past the final battle, then he could never have guessed the struggle awaiting him on the other side, or that he’d become a magnet for those with nowhere else to go like the snarky house elf, the grumpy phoenix, the injured vampire, or the stray werewolf that showed up on their doorstep…oh, and the egg. You can’t forget the egg; that’s the most important, more than anyone or anything else on the planet. Harry will do whatever it takes…literally whatever, even light the fire and watch the world burn, all for the sake of the egg.

After a few days of being left during the day at Malfoy Manor, and with no cuddles from Severus at night because he’s tired and short on temper, Harry is sure he’s a burden to Severus.
In his little state, at Malfoy Mannor and with no wand, Harry flees and apparates at the Burrow. -

He tried to fulfill his duty, he tried to do his best, to take care of people before himself.
Yet, his only request that St.Mungo take care of Severus was brushed aside, like the man did not just die so they could win.
And Harry snapped.

And with all my might, I’ll have you serve a lifelong sentence in Azkaban for neglecting the treatment of the hero who had won us this war. If he doesn’t, I’ll burn this place into the ground… And I’ll personally ensure that you people never escape the fire.”

This Ruan Nanzhu is too pretty?, says a note in this handwriting, maybe also an actor like Tan Zaozao?
Very intense, says another one. Won't stop staring at me.
Kinda looks like he wants to eat us.
And yet another comment, on an arrow pointing above: do we owe him money? We don't work at the company anymore and we're living in his house. Are we his sugar something?
Another: dude we're not even into guys.
We're recognizing him by the description of 'the most handsome man in the world', don't you think that says something about us?
A few more arrows point up towards that one. Doubt, says one. Another says, somewhat confirmed by Cheng Qianli, followed by another going we're trusting the kid that keeps talking about dog butts? And then, Li Dongyuan kinda confirmed it also, but I couldn't ask directly, and once again underlined, we are NOT gay.
The one after that just says: but wouldn't you put out for that guy anyway, if he asked nicely?
