The Galaxy is smaller than ever, hampered by rising fuel costs and excessive warp-gate tariffs. The Republic Works tirelessly to undo the damage done by The Empire, falling into debt of wealthy senators and corporate businessmen in result.
Meanwhile, The Imperial Remnant lingers in the shadows as mere rumours, gathering forces whilst they await Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return.
And Sabine? Sabine just wants her brother back, and maybe a higher veteran pension so that she doesn’t live on scraps or Hera’s generosity on monthly basis. Joining Ahsoka seems the only sensible decision, especially if she gets a round two with that blonde mercenary that stabbed her in the gut.
She doesn’t know yet, but she’ll be getting so much more.

Summary
Death Watch has fallen apart, and with it, Pre Vizsla’s war campaign. Following his failed attempt at the Duchess’ life, he is found dead in his mansion, seemingly killed by one of his subordinates. Concordia is on high alert as the insurgents scatter into countless gangs to ravage the state. With the borders closed, Mandalorian Protectors move in to apprehend the outlaws, canvassing the vast forests and grasslands.
The Nite Owls take refuge deep within a forest, having just barely escaped the bloodbath at the old camp. Their next objective – get out of Concordia before the law catches them.

Mandalorians are a complicated people. Honestly Ezra really doesn't understand their language, culture, or tendency to solve problems with fists or the end of a blaster. Conflicts of interest seem to be everywhere. Jedi should uphold peace without conflict. To protect the people without bloodshed, but mandalorians just want to protect their people too. Even if it means the blood of entire clans or the fledgling new republic has to be spilled. He'd prefer to avoid broken fingers and busted lips but Sabine is one of his greatest and most loyal friends. He'll always have her back, fight by her side if needed, or even stop her....if he can.

Summary

Mark Owens who should, by all accounts, be dead, discovers the awful truth about what happened to his best friend and takes up a path of vengeance and discovers some pretty awful truths about himself as well.
Being human is a terrible weight, but sometimes you find others to share the burden with.
