After an accident that he isn’t even sure how occurred, Junior Crewmember Tommy Innit is stuck out in the dead zone of space with a dead crew and on a damaged ship. No nearby inhabited planets. No nearby stations. Nothing.
He’s billions of kilometers away from any hope of rescue, and has to figure out a way to safety. Not only that, for the first time in his life, he’s completely alone.

Well, it first starts with his editor, and then his publishing agency, and then his book that somehow manages to top the charts in its first six months (really, he’s still not sure how that happened, and eternally grateful that he’d managed to accidentally write a book in the genre that would be popular right when it was published), but the thing that really makes Tommy sit up and take notice is Wilbur.

Blinking out the spots in his eyes that were caused by the pain in his ankle, he took in the sight of the man in front of him.
The first thing Tommy registered was that the guy was tall. And probably very strong as well.
The second thing Tommy noticed was the man’s pink hair, which made the blond frown in slight surprise, because who on earth got the time to dye their hair pink in the middle of the apocalypse?
Then Tommy took in the big ass rifle pointed at him.
“Who are you?” the man’s voice was low and threatening. His eyes were cold and calculating, narrowed in suspicion.
Tommy’s reflexes kicked in, throwing his usual behaviour out the window.
“Bitch who are you?” Tommy glared at the other man, “and why’re you in my base?”OR Tommy is alone and it's the apocalypse he sneaks into what he thought was empty bunker but is actually occupied by 3/4 sbi and now they're snowed in whoops
