Unfortunately, the instability seems to feed on unresolved feelings, which becomes a bit of a problem when Tegan and Nyssa are forced to fake a relationship for the sake of spacetime, Ace discovers Mel is jealous, Kate and Osgood continue dancing around their feelings with absolutely no subtlety at all and Leela and Romana’s marriage hits a stumbling block.

She does.
They don't give her shit for it, and she escapes into her imagination.
The fish are unresponsive, going about their duties, or whatever fish do, as scheduled. She looks up at the large filters, the fish live with an unnatural hum. Do they even notice it? Do they remember the humless ocean? Are they born here? Probably.
