Now, he has nothing, and he hates it.

Summary
Ghosts didn't get cold.
They didn't get hot either, for that matter; the temperature simply did not affect the undead. It was one of the milder, not-particularly-imporant aspects of being a ghost in the grand scheme of things, but as detectives, Edwin and Charles took advantage of this fact endlessly. Their cases had an uncanny way of forcing them to visit rather unpleasant places.
As helpful as it was, though, it also made things all the more difficult when they did begin to be able to feel again.

At Keith's expectant gaze, Lance squirmed a little. In a totally manly way, not in a I-do-not-want-to-talk-about-things-that-actually-do-matter-to-me way. Because somehow, while lying (sitting) in wait for Keith, Lance had managed to completely overlook the implication of talking and him being the one doing it. Which he had to do now. Talk. About him dying and possibly even about how he's not fully okay with it yet. Oh, hey, why not crawl under a microscope lens while he's at it?
Deep breath in, deep breath out. In for three, hold for five, out for seven.
Right.
He could do this.

Summary
Lance's delight only grew as he took out the familiar pieces and started setting up. The others followed, Shiro taking his place in the loose circle they’d formed around the board with a long-suffering sigh.
Once everything was in its place, Lance took out the tokens and set them in front of him in a line. The others immediately turned their gazes to it with single-minded focus. “Now comes the important part: choosing our tokens.”
He barely got the words out before all four paladins descended on the pieces with shark-like hunger.
Or:
The paladins get a day off and discover something that they'd thought they'd left behind for forever back on Earth. You know what it is, and it goes exactly how you'd expect it to.
