Summary
He didn’t get fired from the Baratie today, didn’t have to spend the night waist-deep in red clay, and is sitting at the table with the most beautiful boy in town. So, yeah, he feels good, a little silly, a little like his old self again.
Sanji takes a long pull of his cigarette.
It wasn’t always hard, this.
Once, they had a little money saved up, a little more freedom to play with.
But money runs out quick, and freedom only lasts as long as someone decides you deserve it.
Usopp sits back in his chair. His arms fold around his belly, hands clutching at his sides. Tears slick his face, the flushed apples of his cheeks, and Sanji grins, all teeth, so stupid in love that it almost comes as a surprise to him, all over again.

Or: a story about struggles, about hardships and failures and a bit of tricky business involving a cruel crime boss and his crew. It's about finding out what really matters in a world set against you from the get-go, like who your real family is and what it's like to openly love who you cherish most. It's about the outcome of it all, the fight, for a happy ending, if one can be found at all.

“Do you know me?” Zoro asked. The words tore his throat on their way out.
Luffy rolled his eyes. "I don’t care about the bounty hunter thing if that's what you mean. You’re just…not bad like they say you are.”
Zoro has never cared whether people thought he was bad, or murderous, or bloodthirsty. He knew who he was, what he was going to do, and who he was doing all of this for.
But this one time. Just this one time. It was nice to know that someone didn’t assume the worst of him. Even if the worst was true.
