Summary
Mydei perished in the Sea of Souls when he was only nine years old. At the crossroads of death, a Weaver grants him the option to be reborn as a guardian angel, a stuffed animal given life—with Mydei’s soul bound to serve as its beating heart—to stay by the side of an energetic boy his age named Phainon.
Mydei has never regretted his decision, but he wishes that some day he can give Phainon a proper hug; skin-to-skin not fur-to-flesh.

Summary
He believed Mydei to be a civilian. One unfortunate enough to appear at the wrong place at the wrong time and became entangled in Phainon’s skirmish with the Cleaners.
Mydeimos’ disguise was hardly one that stood up to scrutiny. Perhaps Okhema’s heir apparent was more foolish than Mydeimos anticipated.
As the Crown Prince of Kremnos, Mydeimos has two aims as he secrets through the streets of a city he doesn’t care to know the name of: gather information on the enemy Flame-Chase Army, and avoid the Cleaners coming to stain the earth with his golden blood.
It was pure chance to encounter Phainon: the heir apparent and current leader of Okhema’s army, and Mydeimos’ current foe in the Chrysos War. But Mydeimos would never waste such a convenient opportunity to fulfil both of those aims in one fell swoop.
