Viper would never admit how much she liked Killjoy's puffy cheeks. Or how they turn pink whenever she'd say something weird out of nowhere. She'd never say the thought that if there was a room full of people she'd always look for that one familiar pair of hazel brown eyes. She would never reveal how much she liked staring at Killjoy's lips. How the latter would lick it when she sees a dish she wants to eat. Viper would always remember how the other's smile made her feel.
She felt lost and then found. Caged then discharged. She had felt frozen in a field of burning trees. She had fallen before she flew.

Summary
Enid Sinclair never guessed that being paired with Wednesday Addams for a Lit project in her junior year of college would lead to anything but certain death. At best, some light maiming and a possible boost to her GPA after three weeks of strict research and abject torture.
As they grow physically closer despite all odds, however, is it completely stupid and hopeless for her to dream of more unfolding between them?
Or has she thoroughly misread the signals?
