—Bien hecho allí, Charles —Edwin dice, con ojos verdes brillantes y hoyuelos en las mejillas.
Charles piensa en la luz cálida de una linterna, cree que incluso puede sentirla en el sitio donde hasta hace unas horas atrás su corazón todavía latía.
—¿En serio, amigo? —pide, incluso cuando se siente un poco tímido.
—Por supuesto —Edwin levanta una ceja, sus comisuras se curvan hacia arriba—. Hiciste un excelente trabajo descubriendo cómo atravesar esa puerta.
Charles sonríe entonces, tan grande que se le entrecierran los ojos y ver a su nuevo amigo con claridad se le dificulta un poco. Eso, claro está, no evita que note los rayos de sol que se posan sobre Edwin; el cabello castaño resplandece con reflejos rubios donde el sol lo acaricia y sus ojos son un bonito caleidoscopio de tonos azules y verdes.
Tiene sentido que un sol quiera acariciar otro sol.

Summary
Shane had planned the pregnancy down to the week.
That was the joke everyone kept making, anyway. Not that it was inaccurate.
The third trimester was supposed to land perfectly during the off season so Shane could avoid flying, avoid media appearances, avoid unnecessary stress, and ideally spend the last stretch of pregnancy resting quietly at home with his husband.
Instead, the third trimester was destroying him.
He was tired all the time. Not regular tired either. Bone-deep, miserable exhaustion that made him want to cry if he had to walk upstairs twice in one day. His back hurt. His hips hurt. His knees hurt. His ribs hurt. Sometimes his skin hurt for reason.
