They raise their hand again and Chad knew he wasn’t the only one that flinched at the reminder of what Morgan’s power was truly capable of in the wrong hands.
“Now it’s your last chance, heroes.” They said evenly, “Are you really sure you wanna do this?”

After the latest explanation of Morgan’s inability to add up time correctly, Alex walked into the kitchen to put on another pot of coffee. He didn’t need it, but at this rate Morgan was going to have an aneurysm before they turned 50. He watched the machine at work, weird hissing and bubbling sounds coming out of the top, and he leaned his lower back against the opposite counter. He could hear the faint scribbling of a pencil and rustle of papers in the other room.
He was proud of them.
The machine dinged and Alex sighed. He turned around to grab two mugs from the cabinet, to hold the hot liquid, and set them aside. He grabbed the glass pitcher out of the device and his eyes caught on a stream of red.
He dropped the pitcher, boiling hot coffee spilling onto his skin and glass shattering on the kitchen tile.

“What?!” Izuku jolted forward, but he couldn’t make it far without his legs working and Rody still lying limp in his arms. “Are you guys okay? Did something happen?!”
“We’re fine.” Todoroki cut through his stilted thoughts, “It’s you that’s not safe. You and Rody.”
He was relieved for only a moment before he pulled Rody closer, fearfully peering behind them and at the open entrance of the room.
Todoroki continued, voice grave. “The key shut off the bombs around the world, but not all of them.”
“What are you saying?” Izuku whispered.
“That Flect fuckhead didn’t plan on letting anyone with a quirk survive.” Kacchan said.

After completing the scheduled hours of that day, Izuku had almost suggested they just stay at the agency again, since they’d have to come back anyway, but Kacchan had surprisingly been the one to shut that down.
Which was why they were sitting together, music turned down low enough that it could barely be heard over the car engine, and slurping their respective slushie of choice in comfortable clothes. Taking a well-deserved and much-needed break from the world in their own little bubble behind the gas station.
Not the most romantic date Izuku’d ever had but it was the best they could manage just two minutes from their work.

No, he hadn’t overused his quirk. If that were the case, the cold air would have been the least of his problems. An image of frost covered limbs and purpling fingers passed his mind and he almost shivered. Now that he was more comfortable with his fire side, he never had to suffer like that again but the memory still hurt.
He knew why he was cold, of course. Recovery Girl and Aizawa took great pain in explaining it, even if it didn’t quite register.
His companions beside his bed seemed just as perturbed.
“So…” Bakugou said, face flat. “...He’s like, what? a vampire?”
