His living situation, growing feelings for Judy, and distrusting co-workers don't help. Soon, an ill-fated missing mammal case turned undercover attempt forces him into a lengthy opportunity for introspection.
There will be reasonably graphic violence and infrequent uses of crude language/actions, however the first sixth-ish of the story is pretty clean. References to sex will probably come along at some point, but no guarantee.
