Takes place at the end of RE5. Albert Wesker faces off with his most hated Adversary, Chris Redfield and his partner Sheva Alomar. Chris… wins. Wesker falls into lava and takes a missile to the face. But Chris is falling in with him, falling from the swinging helicopter and was launched in with him to burn… he was dying, but something pushed deep finally surfaced as he watched Chris falling towards him… the man that once he had loved.

Chris Redfield had thought that when he left Africa, he finally left Albert Wesker behind him. The past, the pain, the trauma he had to endure for so long. This was a fresh start for him. A new beginning. A change in the world for the better.
Little did he know that when he left Africa, he wasn't alone. When Chris discovers he unknowingly harbors a secret, his life turns upside down as he is forced to lie to his colleagues and loved ones just to keep himself afloat. Otherwise he'll lose everything all over again; this second chance, his freedom and possibly even his life.
It's not easy and Albert isn't helping matters when he's a constant earworm for the soldier day and night.

He’d never wondered what it was like to be an alpha of less steadfast self-control, and he hadn’t cared to find out either. But he knew now. There was a foreign hunger prickling at him, something far more profound than the usual niggling he had to court during his ruts. Given how many omegas he’d interacted with without incident since the Prototype virus had begun to present issues, the response was entirely unexpected - it seemed isolated to Chris, much to his chagrin.
Wesker's alpha instincts are heightened by the Prototype virus' instability, which leads to quite a different confrontation in the depths of Kijuju.

He crept forward, one foot in front of the other. The house was silent, no signs of forced entry, nothing broken. No footprints on the floor, but something was wrong. He moved slowly through the hallway, toward the kitchen.
Then he heard it, the unmistakable clink of ceramic on ceramic. He turned the corner, weapon raised, and froze. A man sat on the counter, sipping from Chris’s coffee mug. "I have to admit." The man said, setting the mug down. "You’ve settled in nicely over the years, Chris."

After Chris manages to take his old nemesis to a safe place, he tries to work with him to reveal the corruption in the organisation. Chris has a hard task: fighting off his unwanted feelings he still has for Wesker, trying to make him cooperate, all the while not letting him kill anyone. And Wesker has his own demons that torment him... Will they be able to work together just like in the past?
