Summary
Der Geruch von Desinfektionsmitteln, unterlagert von Krankheit und Tod, hatte sich in ihre Nasenschleimhaut gebrannt. Es war sofort alles wieder da, als sie durch die Eingangstür der Winterberg trat. Sie blieb abrupt stehen und atmete einfach nur gegen die Erinnerung.

Es war Heiligabend - für Adam eigentlich ein Tag wie jeder andere. Aber für Leo war es ein Tag für die Familie, für gutes Essen, dem Schwelgen in guter Erinnerung und der Erschaffung neuer. Und als ob Adam ihm eine gute Zeit verwehren konnte. Deswegen hatte er die Einladung von Leos Eltern überhaupt erst angenommen, auch wenn sich innerlich alles bei ihm zusammenzog.

Die alljährliche Weihnachtsbäckerei mit Caro gehört zu Leos Standardprogramm in der Adventszeit. Und eigentlich liebt er es. Wirklich. Aber ohne Caro ist das plötzlich deutlich weniger Spaß und deutlich mehr Arbeit als er es gewohnt ist. Gut, dass Adam ihm die Zeit versüßt.

The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.
