The new neighbor, Sirius Black, embodied everything Severus detested: he was noisy, ill-mannered, and possessed an insufferable air of arrogance. He would frequently strut around his backyard, shirtless and often followed by a ridiculous procession of guinea pigs. Severus simply couldn't fathom why any grown adult would keep sixteen rodents as pets.
