Summary
In the wake of Order 66, former Jedi Padawan Vi hides from the Empire in plain sight. By day she works as a scrapper, tearing apart old ships for the Empire to repurpose for their war machine. By night, she drinks in order to forget the past she's running from as well as the ghost of Caitlyn, the woman she once secretly loved and brutally lost.
After a run-in with an underground criminal forces her to reveal her identity as a Jedi, Vi quickly becomes the target of the Second Sister, an Inquisitor who seems determined to hunt down Vi as a means to help eradicate any remnants of the traitorous Jedi Order.
With the help of some unexpected allies, Vi finds herself in a fight not only to save herself, but also for the fledgling rebellion she has been trying to distance herself from. At the same time, she continuously finds herself in the orbit of the mysterious Second Sister, whose identity will shake Vi to her very core.

Summary
When Beatrice Zhao, aspiring art conservator, gets the news that her employer won’t sponsor her work visa, she has to make a decision: return to England and subject herself to the purview of her overbearing (and homophobic) parents or try something reckless, desperate, and most certainly illegal.
Ava Silva’s main concerns are:
i) getting out of swim practice early
ii) making it to her volunteer shift on time
iii) what to eat for dinner
That is until her friend Camila shows up with a huge favor to ask.--

“Here’s the sitch.” A chuckle bubbles out of her throat, one Ava pays the smallest of attention to via a faux glare before she moves on. “I was doom-scrolling because I was sooo bored (“Weren’t you supposed to be in the middle of a lesson?” “That doesn’t matter right now.”) and then I found this quiz that seemed really interesting, so I was wondering if you would like to take it with me.”
That sounds harmless enough. “What is the name of the quiz?”
Even more interestingly, Ava’s cheeks flush pink. “That’s not relevant.”
“I would say it’s very relevant.” One of Beatrice’s eyebrows quirks high, and immediately the flush at Ava’s cheeks crawls down to her chest, made obvious by the low window of her top. Beatrice allows herself one quick glimpse, one glimpse too much, before her eyes dart back up. “Ava?”
Wickedly, Ava pouts. It’s unfair, really. Ava knows Beatrice is incapable of resisting her pout.

Finally, in the distance Ava sees what JC was talking about.
The first one is tall with cheekbones that look like they could cut glass, her long hair done in a braid. The next woman is small, with a bright smile and curls on top of her head. The next is all muscle, tattoos, and braids sticking out of a cowboy hat.
Then standing slightly off to the side is Cowboy Hat 2 with just as many muscles as Cowboy Hat 1 but no tattoos, and she looks almost shy. The first three are waving as the bus rolls to a stop and Cowboy Hat 1 nudges Cowboy Hat 2 who sheepishly waves, and oh, Ava is struck with needing to know everything about that.
