Summary
The child was lost, Draco knew.
Perhaps four years old – the same age as his own son, the boy wandered, bundled in a puffy Muggle coat. He did not seem frightened, though Knockturn Alley was no place for such a young child on his own, especially one dressed in such a fashion.
Draco watched, waiting for an adult to find their child, but the boy continued on his path, and nobody appeared to reclaim him. He didn’t have time to stop and steer the boy back to safety; he himself wasn’t supposed to be here. He’d promised Astoria he wouldn't come to Knockturn Alley, and he’d kept his promise – more or less. He didn’t come to purchase Dark objects or restricted potion ingredients. He came to watch, looking for anyone that might be interested in disrupting the peace of their world.
Not because Draco was interested in joining such a movement, nor because he was on some extended mission for the Light. He watched because now he had a son, and he would be damned if he would let his son grow up in a warzone, and if someone got it into their heads to start a revolt, Draco wanted to know so he could snuff it out. Scorpius would have a better world.

Summary
The largest condition of Draco's employment as an Unspeakable was the easiest: Tell Nobody What Happens Within the Department of Mysteries. Not friends, nor girlfriends, nor parents or family.
This was easy because Draco had few friends anymore. And Draco wasn't interested in girlfriends, because he was quick to discover any girl who dated him was interested only in his vault. As for parents, his had fled the country, and his only other family was an aunt who refused to speak to him.
It was easier to be alone. Not having to bother with people was liberating. And when he did grow lonely, he would just pop up to the OIA and rile up Granger, who fought back in a way that nobody else could. She didn’t bother with petty names or everyday insults—her attacks were steeped in intellect and challenged him. Most importantly, she never brought up his involvement in the war, though she still snuck in the occasional ferret joke.

Summary
They couldn’t come back together after six years apart and tell themselves that this was love that they were making.
Not with all that radio silence.
Harry tried to keep it all down, lodged under the lump in his throat. He needed something to focus on, something to keep him out of his thoughts, so that he could go along with this because he didn’t want Louis to take his hands off him.
He didn’t want that to happen.
But. But he needed it to.
“Wait,” Harry coughed out, his voice trembling, “Stop.”
Louis looked up at him with wide eyes.
“I— I need to stop,” Harry confessed, trying desperately to keep his voice straight.
“What is it?” Louis asked, full of concern.
“I can’t do this. I— I can’t play along. You left me and I need answers, Louis.”
His voice caught on the end of his name.AKA: Harry is a journalist that goes to Lake Tekapo, New Zealand, to look into a girl’s disappearance after a year of no movement from police. What he finds instead is his ex boyfriend Louis, who, six years earlier, ghosted him after five months of dating in university. A story of trauma, secrets, and the power of finally letting people in.

“They send the omega now?” Harry muttered, dripping disdain.
“Louis Tomlinson,” Louis replied cheerfully, stepping closer to the bed. “Not the omega, thanks. I’m just Louis. You’re not the alpha, are you?”
“I can be the alpha if you insist,” Harry shot back curtly.
Louis raised a brow. “What are you, a savage? Our parents gave us names for a reason. If you’re feral, I’ll just let you loose in the wild and save everyone the trouble.”
That earned him a startled look. “Are you even allowed to speak to patients like that?”
Or- Louis Tomlinson is a sassy omega nurse at OneHeart Amputee Rehabilitation Center. He doesn’t do hand-holding or pity parties—he drags his patients back to life whether they like it or not.
Harry Styles is a soldier who jumped on a grenade and lived, but came out scarred, stubborn, and determined not to be helped.
In the wreckage of war, through insults, banter, and the slow stitching-together of trust, they find something neither expected: love.Or- One of them is going to break first. (Spoiler: it’s not Louis.)
