Summary
After saving Grace and nearly dying in an alien atmosphere, Rocky lays an egg before going dormant.
Turns out being isolated for years and then nearly dying will force biological imperatives onto injured Eridians, and this one leaves Ryland Grace utterly baffled.
Aren't Eridians supposed to lay eggs in clutches? Only fused eggs are supposed to be viable, but when Grace accidentally touches the egg with his bare skin while trying to save it, that's apparently all the genetic fusion required for life to begin.
Ryland Grace skips a few steps when it comes to making a baby, and I test the limits of Eridian biology.

After a lab accident leaves Ryland Grace, an Omega, allergic to at least five different brands of suppressants and heat-blockers, he eventually gives in and signs up for something known as a Pairing Program.
See, Grace’s situation wasn’t actually all that uncommon. Plenty of Alphas and Omegas developed allergies or intolerances overtime to their medications. Sometimes people became immune to the effects, sometimes people just didn’t enjoy taking them.
All Grace was really looking for when he signed up for this program was for an Alpha that would treat him nicely and would help him feel less miserable during his heats.
He never expected to fall in love.

Summary
On their way back to Erid, Rocky and Grace discover a mysterious box. Upon opening it, the two discover some strange changes. Well, perhaps way more than strange.
Rocky finds a new marking on his arm similar to Grace's scar, and Grace finds markings similar to Rocky's on his arms and legs.
Rocky begins to dream and can easily wake from sleep, and Grace can stay up for much longer than a normal human should.
Grace starts seeing sound when it's too dark to properly see, and Rocky starts seeing pops of colour in his sound vision.
Neither can understand what's happening to them and how they're seemingly linked together, but they know there's nothing in the world that could tear them apart.
(TLDR: This fic will include almost everyone's favourite things! Rocky learns about how Grace got on the Hail Mary (Including Rocky witnessing the memory of Grace being sent on the Hail Mary)! The humans threw Grace away. Grace, who worked so hard to save them, who came back for Rocky when he realized the taomoeba would eat through Rocky's ship. Grace, who gave up his chance to go home to save Erid too.
And then Rocky finds out exactly how Grace ended up in space.
They're not giving him back now. Grace will always have a place on Erid where he's beloved and cherished the way he should be, even if it takes Grace a while to believe he's worth that. Luigi’s had his soulmarks as long as he can remember, same as everybody else. He never dreamed he’d meet his soulmate after being thrown through a crazy pipe into another world, but fate is funny that way. However, as he's held aloft by magic staring at matching marks on a gold-scaled neck all he hears is Bowser singing Peach’s praises. When Kamek tried to suggest perhaps pursuing one's soulmate over the mushroom princess, Bowser says something callous. Heartbroken and devastated, Luigi’s jaw glues itself shut. After saving both worlds from the koopa king, he starts hiding his marks under turtleneck shirts or scarves, which Mario and his family make fun of him for. He pretends to laugh it off and tries to move on with his life…but the stars have a way of shining through even the darkest clouds.

It happened about a year after they moved permanently to the Mushroom Kingdom. He and Mario were fighting a strange sorceress who was trying to take over Sarasaland. Purple, blue and red magic swirled above her as her wand stirred the sky. She brought it crashing down pointed straight at his brother shrieking: "A curse on you! Meddlesome human!" and Luigi hadn't thought, just acted. That was three years ago now.
By day, Luigi is his normal old self, but at night...he becomes something very different and this new form comes with a few...complications. Every six months, he goes into a week-long heat. They're agony on his own. Then he discovers that seeking a no-strings partner for the heat is commonplace in koopa society. So maybe he doesn't have to suffer alone after all. There are even reputable agencies who'll help find koopas suitable partners. Maybe this is a really bad idea. What if his body isn't accepted? If this world was anything like the one they'd left, could he even be sure he'd be allowed to peacefully exist if word got out? True, the agency swore not to part with his personal information, but...Luigi was scared. Terrified. But also, he really needed this. Maybe he should take a chance.

Luigi has slowly started to get fed up with everyone treating him like shit or acting like he doesn't exist. Though the last straw is finally pulled when his brother decides not to save him from Bowser and leaves him to 'rot' in Bowser's castle. While staying with Bowser, Luigi learns how to stand up for himself and gains a lot more confidence. He also ends up telling the giant koopa why he strongly dislikes the mushroom kingdom and why he hates his brother and Peach. Upon hearing this Bowser offers the green plumber a chance to get revenge on everyone and everything that ever wronged him.
