Netrunner Neve Gallus can work her magic against any system's defenses. Tonight, she has been hired by a certain fixer called 'the Viscount' to stop a Venatori ritual taking place the night of an exclusive party in the Golden City nightclub of Vyrantium.
Few things can surprise Neve about the Venatori gang these days. However, this ritual is unlike any she has encountered before. Alone, not even the best netrunner can break through the Venatori's security and fend off the rogue AI daemons ready to infect Vyrantium's entire net.
Fortunately, Neve won't be facing them alone. After all, the Viscount has hired a local merc as the muscle for this gig.
He calls her 'Rook.'

Summary
The most interesting cases always come from unknown numbers, this is just a fact of solving crime in Dock Town. Unfortunately for Neve Gallus, Tarquin and Ashur fully took advantage of that fact to set her up on a blind text conversation with someone they think may be good for her. The catch? No asking personal questions - no asking for name, gender, hair color, build, anything that could identify Neve's Unknown. The goal? Get the detective a partner in crime (solving).
Between solving her Unknown case and the one Varric Tethras brought her, Neve's booked and busy. But not so distracted that she doesn't notice the former Dragon that Varric brought with him.
Modern AU with magic. Rated for eventual filth.

After defeating the Netherbrain, Karlach and Vasraena (Tav) have descended into Avernus as a last resort to save the tieflings life. This begins their quest to find a new heart, a new life, and a way home.
SPOILERS ABOUND for most of the game, and pretty much all of Karlach’s romance route.
(Tav’s name is pronounced ((Voss-ra-A-na)), but also goes by Vas. Karlach calls her Vee.

Any boat. Anything.
No one had been willing to take on a strange woman on their ship, whose face was hidden by a hood, voice stuttering and rough and urgent.
You had been desperate, feet taking you from one boat to another, from one side to the dock to the next. Until The Cliffgate.
You had barely been able to approach it, intimated by the size and its look, all black and red and busy with people. Pirates, your mind had whispered.
“Need anything, soldier?” A voice had said in your ear, a red tail swirling around your wrist.
(or: Karlach is the Captain of the Cliffgate and Tav is a runaway princess. They fall in love, but it isn't that simple.)

Summary
Karlach Cliffgate is a junior and was the former captain of the Avernus High hockey team. Tav is a junior and captain of Frozenfar High hockey team, Avernus’ rival. After choking at the semifinal of the regional playoffs last year, Karlach abandoned her team with her tail between her legs, and as a result, is a newly enrolled student at Frozenfar this year. Despite her setback, Karlach still holds a reputation as a hockey protege, and everyone at Frozenfar treats her like a celebrity, but Tav isn’t so impressed. If Karlach wants a place on Tav’s team, she’s going to have to prove she’s still got a fire in her.
Despite the former rivals’ animosity, Karlach wins Tav over, and the two of them grow closer than expected. Tav learns that Karlach’s departure from the Avernus High hockey team isn’t all that it seemed. As the Frozenfar Barbarians and the Avernus Devils go head to head on the ice, it becomes apparent that Karlach’s former coach, Zariel, traumatized her star forward, and Karlach narrowly escaped with a secret that could potentially burn her alive and everyone else if left unchecked.
