So he checked again. And again. And again. He shut the entire phone off and powered it all the way up again.
It didn't change.
The date at the top of his screen read 17 / 11 / 2026.
That’s impossible, is the first thought that came to his head, quickly followed by this must still be a part of that strange dream, it’s all a dream, surely.

Summary
Hi, the desk read, written in a shaky handwriting that can only come from writing straight onto the flat surface, I like your drawings.
Tommy blinked, reading the sentence once, twice, before a large smile spread across his face that he quickly hid behind his hand before his teacher could see.
Next to the writing was a doodle of a small flower in a field. It wasn’t anything special, and there was no amazing skill behind it, but it looked nice. It looked right, slotted nicely into place with Tommy’s own scribbles.
Eagerly, Tommy fished his pencil out of his bag and added Hi. Thank you. I like your flower.
Or: Tommy spends his math classes doodling on his desk. He accidentally gains a pen pal.

Wilbur woke to a hand softly moving his shoulder.
“-bur. Wilbur.”
Wilbur blearily blinked his eyes open- there wasn’t any light to squint against. It was still dark.
It was still dark, and Tommy fucking Innit was waking him up.
“What-” he brought out, voice gravelly and heavy with sleep, “What is it?”
Tommy grinned.
“Get up.”
A beat.
“What the fuck?”

Summary
Taking in his surroundings, he finds himself lying on a grassy knoll, bordering on a simple oak forest. He spots a few sheep nibbling on the grass on a hill, seemingly unperturbed by Tommy’s rough arrival. The portal he arrived through is several meters to his right, glowing with a dark, swirling pattern like it always does.
His location, as peaceful as it may seem, did nothing to settle Tommy’s slowly growing nerves.
Because he stepped through a portal headed to the nether.
So where in Notch’s name was he now?

Rossi quickly cut in before Reid’s idea could be given further thought. With a shake of his head he says “When nine-year-olds run away, they’re usually home for supper.”
“I managed three weeks when I was eight.” Reid retorted.
“Three weeks? They didn’t find you?” Rossi joked back, although with some concern laced in his voice.
“Hmm?” Reid looked up at him, confused for a moment before continuing, “Oh, they didn’t realise I was gone. Makes it significantly easier.” He answered, before looking down at his file again, just missing how the colour drains from the faces of the other people aboard the plane.
Reid casually mentions running away at the age of 8, and while he definitely does not want to talk about it, the rest of the team definitely does.
Based off of 07x05 "From Childhood's Hour", but just the first five minutes, barely any spoilers for the rest of the episode.
