This was written right after Iron Man 2, but alternate universe so still canon? This was for the schmoop_bingo card. Captain America wasn't out yet so expect to run into some comics characters, but only in passing.
First Anniversary: It's the first anniversary of Stephanie's recovery from the ice. The Museum of New York City holds an exhibit and a party in her honor.
Shower Together: There was no need for Stephanie to use the communal showers attached to the gym.
Deja Vu: Its times like these that Stephanie heartily agrees with Natasha's distaste for magic.
Bubble Bath: She hears Natasha's voice echo down the hall and cringes.
Spooning: Stephanie is often the first one awake in the mornings.

Pepper finds out about an order that Tony has made behind her back -- and isn't happy with what's inside. At least it's not a flesh doll -- poor James.
At the end the second picture is the backpage from one of the old 60s Iron Man comics, I kid you not. I don't even know where to start honestly. At least we're making progress? Slow slow progress. I add it because it's exactly what Pepper's imagining in the context of the story.

Steve Rogers, captain of the United States Mens National Team, is prepping the team for the 2014 World Cup when a teammate's unexpected injury means a last minute replacement less than a month before the Cup. Tony Stark is suddenly back in Steve's life and he doesn't know how to deal with it. Coach Coulson swears that Stark is the key to getting them the Cup though, so Steve's going to suck it up for the good of the team.
Tony Stark is returning to the USMNT after three years of trying to rehabilitate his reputation from the scandal that nearly destroyed his career before it had even started. He's got something to prove to the world and amends to make. Especially to his (hopefully not former) best friend Steve Rogers.
