Summary
Spencer Reid, with his four PhDs, is a little late in joining the BAU, but he integrates well, even if he is oddly secretive about his personal life. All the team knows about him is that he has a son he dotes on, and every now and then Spencer walks into work like he’s on cloud nine, though he never introduces the mystery girlfriend/boyfriend making him smile like that to anyone.
Until the team is sent on a case where they quickly learn that the string of murders they’re investigating is not what it seems. And that’s when a tape of their lead suspect being tortured arrives at the BAU. It turns out that Alan Hartsfield is actually an undercover FBI agent who’s been working to infiltrate the Via Maris trafficking ring--until the BAU showed up and started casting doubt on his supposed crimes. And that his name is really Aaron Hotchner, and he’s Spencer’s husband.

Summary
The soft glow of the pool light casts dancing shadows on his already gaunt features, accentuating his high cheekbones, his deep set eyes and exhaustion ridden dark circles.
He’s as beautiful as always, in Aaron’s eyes. Ethereal, almost. Deeply burdened.
Hotch makes his mind up easily then, nodding along as he processes Reid’s distressed rambling and reaching down to start untying his shoes.
It’s only when he stands again and starts to approach the pool that Reid finally looks up, his brows climbing his forehead when he notices Hotch moving to sit beside him.
“What are you doing?” He asks quietly, squinting almost as if he’s suspicious of Hotch’s motive here. Maybe he is. Aaron can be self aware enough to admit this is an uncharacteristic move for him. Spencer tends to bring that out in him.
“Sitting with you,” Hotch replies as if it’s obvious, as if this is at all normal for him.
AKA Spencer has a bad night, and Hotch is there to make it better.

Summary
"I know Morgan. I've been in a club before." Reid's reply was curt, cutting off Morgan's briefing as he tugged almost aggressively at the tie around his neck. Pulling it free and dumping it into a locker, he began working at the buttons on his shirt and Morgan turned away.
An UnSub with a vigilante streak is hunting in gay clubs, targeting overprotective boyfriends. Morgan and Reid, despite Reid's protests, pose as a couple to stake out the next likely location and to draw him out if the opportunity arises. Morgan's self-control is pushed to it's limits as he plays the part of 'boyfriend', while attempting to ignore the crush on his colleague that's been brewing the past few months.
As Reid's behaviour grows increasingly more concerning, Morgan fights to hold the operation together, his feelings in check and Reid's hand in his as he struggles against his own demons.

Will releases her hand, even as they walk out of the gym doors together. "Works out for me," he tells her, "I have that project for art I have to finish up anyways." He pauses, hesitates. "Will you be okay without me?"
Max takes a breath, and then gives him a shaky smile, one that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "I'll have your tape," she says, wiggling the wires of her headphones. "See you after school."

“Hey, Will! C’mon buddy, time to wake up and get going, okay? We’re all done here, it’s all done.”
The warbled voices began to separate from one another, like oil from water. Groaning, he blinked his eyes like a frog, one and then the other, the harsh operatory light greeting him with a menacing glow. Slowly, the blobs of color before him began to sharpen into focus, taking the form of two random people he had seen briefly before, and his mom, studying him with intensity.
“Welcome back, sleepyhead,” Joyce whispered, giving his hand a gentle squeeze, “how’re you feeling?”
“Mom,” he tried to say, but the sound that came out was a strangled grunt. Huh. Usually he has no problem speaking, but something was in his way. Gauze. Bloody gauze, specifically, was in his way. He gingerly reached a hand up to touch his cheeks, brushing against the damp dressing that was dangling between his lips. Huh. That wasn’t there before.

Will gets his wisdom teeth out and lets a few things slip while he's loopy from the anesthesia.

“I—I would tell you.” He says reflexively, but he doesn’t take it back. The words are true. He hears Mike’s breath catch and his hand twitches. “I just wouldn’t want you to– to pity me. Or see me… differently.”
“I would never.” The response is instant. “You’re strong. I’d never pity you. I… god, how do I explain?” Mike turns his body to face Will head on and grabs his hand properly. Will feels a shiver run through him, but he squeezes back all the same. “I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry, for what you’ve been through, whatever it is. But it would never, never make me look at you differently.”
“Promise?”
“I promise."
Or: Will breaks down after the events at the MAC Z and trusts Mike to help him pick up the pieces.

Summary
Ever since Mike had known him, Will had bitten his tongue. When they were younger, he communicated solely in small noises and shy smiles. Not that he minded- he could read the boy like an open book.
He could almost hear his voice in the whisper of his features and body language. Where others waited in doubtful expectation for something to come from Will’s throat, Mike had no interest in it. He could read the message in the lines of Will’s furrowed brow and the nervous, darting aversion of his gaze.
OR:
Mike’s memories of when Will had selective mutism as a child, and how his communication with him through other means is proved useful, when Will gets possessed by Vecna in their final plan.

At first, Mike was unsure how to approach him when he got like this. But they’ve been living together for months now, never further than five feet apart in their dorm beds, so Mike’s learned what works and what doesn’t.
It works when he wakes Will like this, with gentle hands and words, telling him he’s safe. It works when he climbs into Will’s warm bed, turning him on his side and curling up against his back, an arm over his waist and his cheek pressed against his shoulder. They lie together like that until Will’s hiccupping gasps soften into steady breaths, until Mike feels him go limp in his arms and he knows he’s fallen back asleep. It always works.
or: Will has nightmares and Mike is the only one who can console him. Not even Will's boyfriend can. Mike takes great pride in this fact.
