Tim was used to fielding uncomfortable and overly personal questions about his biology. That just came with the territory of being a member of a species with a remarkably small population. There weren’t a lot of vampires around, not even in Gotham, despite its reputation as the U.S. city with the largest nonhuman population.
He’d gotten quite good over the years at either deflecting, admitting, or scolding, depending on how valuable the opinion of the asker was to him.
And god were there a lot of askers.

Guys I had this idea that:
I headcannon that Jason wrote Roy love letters when he was Robin and left them in the tower for Roy. Roy never knew who they were from but kept them none the less. Skip a few years and Roy and Jason are trapped in a hotel on some mission. Jason is getting pissed that the gang he’s tracking doesn’t use the internet and asks Roy to check over his letter to see if it’s all ok. Roy looks over it and realises Jason wrote those letters. Badda bing badda boom snogging and other stuff happens. I might write this.
And I did write it! It changes slightly but that pretty much the story!
OR, Jaybin writes Roy love letters and now adult Jason has to deal with the consequences

So here is Jason: forty-five years old, retired from vigilantism, and living with his best friend who he’s been in love with for most of his life.
