Summary
With all of the stress at work with serial killers and whatnot, Edward Nygma spontaneously decides to do what normal people do when they're stressed and goes to a bar. At this bar he bumps into (quite literally) a man who shows him just enough kindness that Ed starts spilling all of his personal stresses to him. Oh well, he's just some guy, right? A very nice guy that coincidentally happened to be at the right place at the right time. Ed... well, maybe not.
(The Ogre manages to have one of the GCPD fall right into his lap.)

Summary
The party managed to survive the battle with the Mind Flayer. Of course, not without a few bruises and an unconscious Henry Creel. Nothing too crazy. Not at all. He was just as trapped as the twelve children, information they acquired thanks to Will and El, or else; heads would have rolled. Now stuck with a former serial killer (was it even his fault?), the party must learn to move forward and face the dangers that still haunt Hawkins. Meanwhile, Henry must navigate through the web of trauma, facing his past, and deal with a bunch of teenagers that will try to kill him in his sleep the first chance they get (he doesn’t blame them). But of course, this is all easier said than done.

Since the night Mr. Ballard, Henry, or One, as she learned, revealed himself to be her father and got them away from the Doctor’s, Papa, Lab life had greatly improved.
She started school, became friends with the party, and finally got to practice her powers without the danger of punishment if she failed to complete a task. Dad, Henry, had gotten a job at RadioShack, moved them into a nice house on Cherry Lane, and had gotten a pet spider named Dee.
Everything was perfect until November 6, 1983.

This is a Batcat endgame No Capes AU. This fic focuses on the criminal syndicates in Gotham and how those crimes are resolved without superheroes. Selina and Bruce's shared grief and resentment lead them to going scorched earth on Gotham's underbelly. The ending of the fic will be called bittersweet by some readers and unhappy by others.
