When he sits back down at the head of the table, he kisses Gregory on the cheek. “Do you want to make a wish too?”
Gregory gurgles, entranced by the flames of the eighteen candles, tears still drying on his reddened cheeks. Gregory rarely cries—a trait that does not run in the family, something the older four make a point to remind Eloise and Francesca—but when he does, he seems to pick the worst moments.
Anthony wraps one hand around Gregory’s tiny fists as a safety precaution, and he reaches across the table, tugging the cake closer to them. He mimes it once before he starts blowing out the candles. Gregory copies him with a joyous coo.
And, mid-laugh after Gregory manages to take out precisely one of the candles, Anthony realizes he does need to make a wish, and he has nothing he wants to wish for. So, he wishes for more of the same.

But maybe Steve’s tired of Robin always haranguing him, so he relents. Because he’s Batman with a squad of Robins—and Batgirl, he supplies when Robin shoots him a look—and because he spent so much time cleaning out Jimmy Fast Hands’ bathroom that he needs to make all that effort worth it.
“That’s just sunk cost fallacy, man,” Dustin says to him. “And if you’re worried about a gate opening in your pool, may I remind you that the sidewalk right outside of the station split in half, revealing the fiery and somewhat dead depths of the Upside Down, which was why Jimmy Fast Hands beat it—”
Steve just flaps a hand at him. It could mean anything from quit your yapping (except then he’d press his fingers together, and he didn’t) to come give me a hand, and it’s usually the latter, but Dustin doesn’t want to give in.

He said it so fiercely. The wildest thing about Clark was that even after knowing him for years and going to his house and meeting his parents and seeing his dumb baseball trophies froom when he was a kid – he could still say stuff like that and make you actually believe it.
“Whoo!” said Wally with a reasonably sincere fist pump. “Go team.”
After a mission goes awry, the League find themselves trapped in another dimension filled with giant reptiles, carnivorous birds, and in general things that want them dead. With no supplies and their own escape route cut off, it's a race against time to find their way home...

In the face of an extraterrestrial threat they don't fully understand, with all their usual hide-outs compromised, the Justice League are forced to go to ground. Fortunately Superman has a remote location where they can regroup. Less fortunately, it comes with some baggage.

In which a Justice League mission goes off the rails, John has a concussion and is very tired, Wally makes some questionable decisions, and Billy has everything under control.

Summary
Steve has watched them die hundreds of times now. He and the Hulk have been the only ones standing every time he lets it play out to the end. Sometimes the Hulk just stands there roars with anger and anguish. Other times he picks up their lifeless bodies and cradles them, looking confused and lost.
Every time Steve resets the stone, takes them back to the start, to the moment when Tony hands it to him on the jet, and tries again. But he doesn't have much hope now that they will ever make it out alive.
