Summary
This is a flaming dumpster filled with CSS and HTML experiments. It's not instructional, but I post the code and my own explanations for both our sakes. Feel free to steal the code or ask me questions- I don't know what I'm doing. :)

I'm not going to say I take requests, but I'm always looking for inspiration.
It seems I've broken Ao3 yet again. I can no longer add more code to my work skin so we're moving on to part two!

“So how much do you remember?”
He thinks: he remembers how to lie low enough in the grass to creep up on a horse, how to kill a monster, and how to cook a steak. These seemed important then, but as of a day and a half ago, there is no evil anymore, and there’s no use for any of these things, even though his hand is still on his damn sword.
He doesn't know how to answer. He hardly knows how to breathe; the air fills his chest like there’s been a sudden change in altitude, like his lungs were built for the murky viscosity of impending cataclysm, and he can only gasp on the breeze’s sudden lightness. The only answer he manages to squeeze from his scattered mind is, "The important parts."
Damn. The wind sighs in response.

New Year’s Eve in Hyrule Castle is a night for celebration. For embracing the season of winter, and thinking on one’s hopes for the year to come. Dances are danced, wine is drunk, and wishes are sent to the flame in the hope that they will come true.
A shame then, that Zelda doesn’t believe in wishes.

Summary
The kingdom of Hyrule never fully recovered when the banishment of the Sheikah prompted the departure of the other tribes. An age later Princess Zelda's uncle marries her into the Zonai people in an attempt to recover some of Hyrule's lost military power and safeguard against turbulent times. It's only after vows are exchanged that she finds out why this union was so crucial to the Zonai.

Summary
As foretold, the Calamity returned to lay waste to Hyrule. Hylia's chosen Hero never appeared. It was only the emergence of Zelda's shockingly powerful time magic that saved the kingdom from complete destruction, but only by delaying it and trapping herself and the Champions in a seemingly endless stasis.
A century later, Link -- a member of the Yiga Clan -- is determined to befriend Zelda and the Champions. To get close to the enemy and learn their secrets for the good of the Clan.
Mostly, he's just trying to prove himself and avoid getting reassigned to a job he hates, but things get much more complicated than he expected.Bookmarked by RunningNinja

It isn’t even the way their bodies are quashed together in the insufferable Faronian heat, chests heaving, as he presses her into the tree bark, shielding her as best he can from the onslaught of wild animals rushing past them in an absolute fury.
It’s the look he’s giving her out of the corner of his cutting blue eyes, half-feral, half-incredulous, as if to ask, How is it that you keep getting yourself into so much trouble, and I’m always having to drop everything to come and save you?

“I’m sorry,”—she whipped around—“I didn’t realize you were my father?”
“Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself.”
“Oh, so this is about self-preservation?”
“Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness.” Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. “And by the looks of it, you’re not equipped to handle that.”
She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. “What, and you are?” She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. “Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?”Calamity is here.
The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe.[This story is set in a fusion of BotW/TotK, with a couple tweaks and some familiar faces'n'places from older games joining along the way!]
