Summary
Something is… wrong. With Eddie. And he thinks it’s Buck’s fault.
Maybe that’s unfair. But Buck does seem to be the common denominator. Consistently present at the scene of the crime if you will. The scene being Eddie’s brain and the crime being… well…
“Is it just me or have we been getting way more sex call-outs than normal?” He says, focusing on keeping his voice even, cutting straight to what he sees as the crux of the issue.
(Or: As LA battles a heatwave Eddie keeps being confronted with far too much information about Buck’s sex life and it’s wreaking havoc on his sanity)

"Buck, I need you to listen to me."
"I am listening, Eddie."
"No, you think I'm crazy."
“You did just tell me we’re unicorns since we like boys.”
Why was Eddie stabbed if he was just gonna sit in an elevator? The Buddie ending we deserved.
Updates are still coming, no clue when the book will be done.

Summary
Buck signs up for a mating agency because his ruts have been out of control. After some standard blood tests come back, the agency rejects him. Why?
His bloodwork shows he's already mated. Which is impossible. Buck doesn't have a bite, he's never bonded with anyone. He knows this.
And after a lot of freaking out, Buck figures it out.
Even though he's never actually heard of it happening, he knows it's possible for two people to chemically bond when there's too much shared proximity, too much closeness, too many casual touches. When their scents intertwine and practically become one.
Buck had accidentally bonded and claimed an omega.

Summary
The world hits Eddie Diaz with sharp jabs; punches to the gut, chest, face.
And he’s caught, trapped, between the blows—that are fast and hard like snipers to his left, like Greggs with a bullet in his chest, like Shannon bloody on the ground—and relief.
Relief that comes quick and far between, like Christopher in his arms, like the 118 by his side, like a cold beer in his kitchen, just him and Buck.
He’s always alternating between the two, never not ready for the blow, never not waiting for relief to end.
That’s all he’s known, all he’s ever known.
Or
Eddie’s been the man of the house since he turned 11 years old.
