Summary
Johnny stands at his open wardrobe, arms folded across his chest, and scowls at his clothes. His duffle bag is open on the bed behind him, half packed for his weekend leave with Simon.
The hangers rattle as he shoves them aside. A pair of jeans, faded and worn, drops to the floor, and he picks them up, regarding them for a moment before he tosses them back in the wardrobe in disgust. Would it have killed him to get some nice clothes? A couple of soft jumpers, maybe a blue one that would bring out his eyes? Or maybe a button-down shirt? No, too fancy. What does he think this is, a date?
Johnny laughs nervously, the sound bordering on hysterical.
-or- Simon and Johnny leave for a weekend getaway in the Scottish Highlands

Summary
“Gonna get it warm in here first, then we’ll have a look at ya,” he says over his shoulder.
Soap just shivers on the cot and says nothing.
While he gets the fire going, Ghost takes stock of their supplies. He’s got almost a full IFAK between the two of them, cold water from the hand pump that he can warm, some dubious looking rags, and a half-gallon of what looks like homemade vodka.
Not ideal.
He glances over at the cot. Soap’s eyes have drifted shut.
-or- Soap is injured and delirious, and mistakes Ghost for someone who hurt him in the past.

Summary
When Ghost finally returns from the roof, Gaz doesn’t crowd him. He doesn’t speak to him unless spoken to, seeming to understand that trying to fill the hole Soap’s left will only call more attention to it. He simply makes space—sets aside the corner bed, positions a chair where Ghost can sit without being watched, hands him the cup of tea without forcing eye contact.
Ghost takes it.
Price notices that too.
How many small kindnesses has Gaz offered, unnoticed? How many moments has Price missed, so focused on the larger picture that he failed to see the man quietly holding the edges together?
It unsettles him.
-or- Price realizes how much he truly depends on Gaz.

Summary
Simon’s fingers follow the line down the back of Johnny’s skull, massaging gently at the base, thumbs pressing where tension has been living for days. Johnny lets out a shuddering breath, his body yielding all at once.
“There you go,” Simon murmurs, a soft clucking sound under his breath. “Christ, Johnny…I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“For not being able to take it away. For not being able to help.”
“Ye are helpin’,” Johnny says immediately, voice thick. “This—this is helpin’.”
-or-Simon learns that his hands can provide pleasure instead of causing pain, and he puts this information to good use.

Summary
A loosely connected series of GhostSoap fics based on my own headcannons, through the course of their relationship. They won't necessarily be posted in order, but they will be ordered chronologically as they are posted. Based on prompts for whumptober, angstober, and flufftober, there will be a lot of whump, hurt/comfort, and some spice later on. Heed the tags!

Summary
Daeron knows that he fucked up the moment his Father drags him out of the inn and demands to know where the fuck is Aegon?
It scares him how much easier it is to lie than to tell the truth. But what is the truth in a world where the face of a stranger feels more familiar than even your own?
Among such uncertainties Daeron is sure only of one thing - on the grounds of Ashford Meadow the fates will collide and only one choice can make or break the future that sometimes flashes before his eyes.
And what if just this once he wants to try and make that choice? If only just so that the man with eyes as blue as the clearest sky would look at him in a way he sometimes does in his dreams?

Summary
After the chaos of the tourney, Prince Daeron Targaryen faces the aftermath of bloodshed and injury. Searching for Egg, he finds Ser Duncan gravely wounded by the elm tree — and is forced to confront his own guilt.
"His heart ached seeing the knight like this. Daeron did not know much of honour, didn't possess much of it himself, but he recognised it when he saw it. Ser Duncan had done what all knights should, he had defended the innocent. He had started an avalanche of blood with it, but he had stayed true to his oath."
