    Summary

Enjolras caught the infamous art thief Grantaire in his first month as an FBI agent. Four years later, a supposedly reformed Grantaire works out a deal to help the FBI catch an organized crime boss--with Enjolras as his handler. But working together is more frustrating than Enjolras could have believed, and it doesn't help that Grantaire has started an actual book club with Enjolras' husband. White Collar AU.

    Summary

Five years after the attack that derailed Enjolras’s ambitions of public service, he haunts the State Supreme Court and pulls strings to ensure everyone gets a fair and just trial. With the help of his closest friends and hope that he’s at least doing some good, Enjolras is lonely but content with being thought a ghost, hiding in the shadows and anticipating the Valjean and Thénardier trials.

Then the mysterious death of a judge gets blamed on the resident ghost and it all goes to shit.

And sketch artist Grantaire seems to be caught in the middle of it. As if Enjolras didn’t have enough to deal with without a snarky artist to trip over.

Despite this being unfinished, I fell in love with this fic and still go back to reread it. Political vigilante Enjolras meshed with the Phantom is an amazing concept. I love fics that blend different AUs and this is a great example; modern courtroom drama + POTO feels very fitting for Enj.

THE assassin AU. Must read for Les Mis fans.

Also, while Grantaire is indeed the worst assassin ever, Enjolras does not do himself any favors as a target. If the hitman were ANYONE else (or I guess I should amend that to "if Grantaire wasn't there"), I fear he'd be dead.

I genuinely cannot stop rereading this and I don't know what that says about me. Strangely heartwarming in spite of the considerably tense circumstances.

    Summary

Apparently their city seems to have acquired some sort of superhero.

Like, a Batman in Gotham City. Only they're not in Gotham City, and no one knows what this guy is actually called.

He just shows up, kicks ass, fights crime, rescues people from falling buildings and burning houses and helping little old ladies cross the street.

Oh, and he also exposes the corrupt dealings of government officials while he's at it. And he apparently has like, blonde hair or something. That's what all the eyewitnesses said.

It's so absurd and so out of a comic book that Grantaire wants to laugh.

"So, I was thinking," Courfeyrac continues, "that if you want to meet him, we should just put you in danger."

"Okay," Grantaire says easily. And then, "Wait what?"

"I get it!" Jehan pipes up. "That's right! Superheroes appear in the most dire times of need, so we should put Grantaire in a life-threatening situation."

"No, we should not put Grantaire in anything," Grantaire protests.
