Clark turns the car down a long dirt driveway, the windows down to let the cool breeze in. Bruce is in the middle of a hot flash, the AC cranked and blowing in his direction. But the chilly post-rain air is a welcome addition, that washed fresh smell of wet earth giving Bruce something to focus on other than the unbearable heat. He takes another sip of water, grabbing the front of his shirt and fanning it back and forth to let the air circulate down his chest.
“Your baby is boiling me,” he huffs out.
“How come he’s only my baby when he’s doing something that annoys you?” Clark pouts teasingly.
Bruce takes another drink. “It’s your lot as his father.”
Clark laughs, bringing the car to a stop in front of the farmhouse. “You’re his father too!”

Reports say that it was most likely an inside job, as there was no evidence of tampering with security or personnel. So far there have been few leads into the disappearance, but police have detained a paramedic under allegations of aiding and abetting. Security cameras show him entering and exiting the NICU within the time frame Jason Wayne went missing. So far the police have not released a statement on the matter.
Jason Thomas Wayne was stolen from his crib at two weeks old by a money hungry Willis Todd, who intended to keep the kid until he would "find him" and return him for a reward later. Although, things don't always go to plan...

He’s not sure why he’s so surprised – the Drakes are known for their work in archeology, and not much of that can be done locally. Still, he assumed that they took Timothy with them when they left the country for work. It seems a shame to leave him with a nanny this close to Christmas.
“Okay,” he says, erasing the numbers typed into his phone. “What’s your nanny’s number, then?”
“My what?” Timothy looks scandalized.
“Your babysitter? Whoever is in charge of you while your parents are gone,” he clarifies.
“I’m in charge of me when my parents are gone,” Timothy says proudly, his little chest puffing out. “I’m the Man of the House.”

She tries to get through to him but he doesn’t want to hear it, it’s enough that they’ve canceled his vacation again, but to ask this of him– is utterly humiliating.
“I said, I am not doing it!”
He digs around in his pants pocket, grasps the dark blue chip he finds there tightly between his thumb and index finger and bangs it on Hunnigan’s desk, leaving it between them like a beacon to remind her of what she’s demanding.
“You might as well just take it now.”
Six months of sobriety. Weekly AA meetings. A prescription for SSRIs, he isn’t dumping in the trash. He’s really trying to be better, he is, but he knows having to accept this mission, will make all of that be for naught.
Or
Chris and Leon take up an undercover mission, needing to set up a fake marriage. All seems to be going according to plan, if it weren’t for their own secrets slowly coming to light.
