Summary
Cody is in trouble with this gang he was part of, but now that he is trying to get out, he is running into some significant problems. Severely injured, Cody doesn't think he will make it when a gift from God in the appearance of a man (Noel) shows up to rescue him and bring him back from the brink of death. From there, the two men have to learn how to get along and live together as Cody heals and tries to move on from his secretive, past life. Feelings begin to bloom but things go off the rails when dangerous people from Cody's past start popping up. Will Noel and Cody be able to make it through this or will they be forced to part ways?

There was something in his right fist. Taking one last look around the alley to verify no new threats were materializing—Christ, what city was he even in?—he pushed back to sit against the nearest cracked brick wall and uncurled his fingers.
A crumpled yellow sticky note wrapped around a cheap plastic thumb drive lay in his palm.
He unfurled the creased paper and found his own blocky handwriting staring up at him.
"He goes to space. 37 loops and no matter what I do, he always goes to space."
Then, in letters so heavily pressed into the paper the ballpoint had almost torn through it:
"Save him. Save them both."
