Summary
After ramming the sub straight into the Light, Simon wakes up on a strange spaceship with no memory of how he got there. The state of the Hail Mary -spacious, clean, bright and comfortable- can only lead to one conclusion: Simon has somehow been picked up by one of the highest-ranking leaders of the C.O.I.
Luckily, Dr. Grace doesn't seem to recognize him, buying Simon enough time to hatch yet another desperate plan for survival before his identity is discovered. In the meantime, Simon tries his best to stay in the man's good graces (no pun intended), but he's hardly known for his charming personality.
Both of them are in for a bumpy ride.

I love this!!!!Simon is at a dissonance of wanting to enjoy these comforts while he can, while also trying to stay "liked"
Grace had his arm broken by the strange human they rescued (of which Simon does not remember) and has been nursing him to health. He's *very* fascinated, yet horrified by what he's discovered about the "not-blood"
Rocky stays at a distance for his own safety, due to radiation. Cares about grace and does not want him near Simon. Rocky amd Grace nearly argued about this, with Simon eavesdropping on Grace's half of the walkie-talkie convo.
Simon believes Mary, Armando and Rocky are human crew members who work for Grace.Grace Rocky find a possible solution to the food problem! Plant seeds!

When Grace gets seemingly teleported by means unknown into the SM-13 right as it was nearing The Light, both Simon and Grace have no idea what is happening. Grace knows he was supposed to be in his house on Erid, Simon knows this new guy cannot possibly be a hallucination, and Ava, upon hearing Grace ramble about theories for how he got there, knows that new guy is Smart. Could-Secure-Our-Survival Smart.

I love this i eat it
Linked arts on chap 5 and 8!!! Adorable!!On the way to the main station now. Grace is trying not to be too important - it ended badly last time. Simon is cuffed to a wall in the lab Grace was given. Better than a cell.
Ava sees Grace's worth.
Simon is a soon to be "professional yearner"
Rations may or may not be stale corpse meatGrace may have a solution to the food problem. Ava can't allow him to attempt finding a way back home until he proves it.
Simon and Grace now at Needle Point station. Grace learns of Simon's crimes, but sees himself in him. He calls out the people behind the ration bars (who had no choice but to use corpses) and educates them on prions. Soon to test whether a resilient fungi and grow on brain matter so no waste occurs.
Brain fungi a success! A man named Francis attempts to kidnap Grace while he sleeps because word got out that he'd be attempting to leave. Simon protected him.
Simon learns that Grace was a teacher, and is the only human on EridMessages reach! Eridians respond to Grace's pings to the light/possible worm hole in blood ocean. Grace wants Simon to come with eventually. Both conflicted for different reasons about potentially leaving this universe. Infiltration! Grace nearly kidnapped by armed outside forces, Simon saves.

Summary
Going through the report has his brain gears steaming. It's a lot. Logs of vessel depth, design and composition (iron mostly, with the other metal trappings of a human design with electrical cables), radiation output and source (x-ray and a buttload of it!), readings and scans of the biomass enveloping the vessel (a tree, of all things). More blood readings because the thing was utterly flooded with the stuff (same composition as the sample he coughed out, lovely to know and think about), and the final logs of the containment and quarantining of the vessel inside the Blip-A.
The team was coming back home to Erid, and in double time. Because Grace gets to the important part of the report. Perhaps the single most important one since he arrived on Erid.
They found another human inside the vessel.

Incredibly interesting take on the typical Simon meets grace plot
The xenoblood has tainted grace - it leaks from his nose, he coughs it when stressed. It tainted his ocean (but at least now the eridians can analyse it for more tissue, like salmon)
It has tainted his mind. He dreams of floods of astrophage swallowing him whole, corrupting his ship. He dreams of a suffocating dark at his doorstep, and what was once a man.
The eridians have retrieved Human B, the submarine and the Blood Tree, all contained in a small biosphere.
Something asks grace for a name. Human B has awoken- not anymore!
Blood tree likes Grace. He puts music on for it and human bThe Hail Mary is haunted!!
The eridian servicing crew of the Mary is saved by Grace! Unfortunately he believes he may have brutally bashed a bloody spectre (similar to what haunts his dreams). It was all in his head...(? Maybe)
The Hail Mary tried to protect Grace from the Blood contamination within her. It's mysteriously gone now.
During this, human b went missing!Found Simon in Grace house, took the music laptop. Grace fumbles a communication attempt when Rocky shows up and scares Simon, resulting in him being bitten. Both humans marvel at touching another.
Sweet lazy Sunday morning vibe, Simon believes this is the afterlife. Grace, Rocky and Simon speak simple English to avoid mistranslation.
Simon washes with a bucket, Grace finally has a shower, and both silently mull over what they know and what they want to find out about the otherSimon believes Grace teaches ghost children (as he thinks this is afterlife)
Grace investigated tree and sub. Flesh amalgamation..
