Sometime between the ages of eighteen and twenty, Garrett Hawke became a man. Not just any man, either. Possibly the man, a specimen Anders had only ever read about in the romance novels his old friend Karl Thekla kept hidden behind the histories of Shartan and the Exalted Marches.

It's hard to think for yourself when you've never had to think before. It's worse when your problem-solving is all limited by modules worth less than the load they take in your processing.
Unfortunately, flawed knowledge modules are better than no modules at all, which is what SecUnit003 aka "an idiot" now has to think of a way to get around without alerting either of the smarter, meaner, and cagier MIs that keep pinging it.
I am an idiot and I have made a terrible mistake. Now I have to fix it before Murderbot, y'know, murders me.

Three was driving me crazy. Absolutely, completely, utterly crazy.
In large part, because it read my contract and therefore knew exactly what my written stipulations were. Therefore, it could walk right on the line of those stipulations. Since it wasn't technically touching me, it wasn't technically violating my contract. That it considered 4mm of space at its closest point sufficient for "not touching" had apparently become a "me" problem somewhere along the line.
