The comfort of being saved of an explanation was quickly replaced with a white hot embarrassment at the reminder of the teasing grin that was still plastered on his roommate's face. His teary eyes met hers as she leaned in close to his ear, picking up Dennis’s hat in one smooth motion and placing it on her own head. “Didn’t know you were in the business of saving horses.”
