She shifted her weight and glanced toward the house before hesitantly looking back at him. “The house has been on the market for years,” she said carefully. “I couldn’t tell you why the last owner left, but it appears the house has a high turnover rate.” Her fingers tightened slightly around the clipboard tucked against her side. “Once someone moves in, they don’t stay for very long.”
OR: On the verge of losing his apartment, Xie Lian jumps at the opportunity to purchase a beautiful old Victorian home for a fraction of what it’s worth. After a series of strange occurrences, Xie Lian begins researching the property's history. He quickly discovers that one name keeps appearing: Hua Cheng. "Studying hard, I see," Xie Lian said as he hung his bag on the hook by the door.
"Mn, I have a test coming up," Hua Cheng told him.
"Hopefully it's not handwritten," Xie Lian teased. Hua Cheng was very good at a lot of things, a complete renaissance man. However, his handwriting was absolutely horrific. He'd gotten a tattoo just around a month prior and it was in his own handwriting… Xie Lian had no clue what it said and thought it'd be rude to ask so he'd just vaguely said it looked nice, earning a laugh from Hua Cheng.
"I'll disappoint gege, it's multiple choice," Hua Cheng said in response. He closed his laptop and stood, stretching. Xie Lian's eyes drifted to where his shirt rode up, exposing smooth pale skin and the lines of his lower abs.
Another one of life's greatest embarrassments, broke clumsy virgin Xie Lian had a crush on his much younger and insanely sexy roommate. Did that make him a pervert? He wasn't sure but he knew the odds weren't in his favor. Just about the same odds as the man so attractive it was actually lethal liking Xie Lian in response. He averted his eyes, ashamed of the blush that crept onto his face.
"It's for the best," Xie Lian said, managing a laugh.

He was prepared for other people to see him sneaking around after Mobei Jun and think he was weird; it's just that somehow he failed to account for the possibility that maybe Mobei Jun would notice it too.
Especially when, the day before he was set to meet with Xuan Dhao so they could exchange pictures, his phone was inadvertently set to sound on and his camera sounded embarrassingly loud as he inconspicuously snapped a picture of Mobei Jun.
A (hilariously avoidable) misunderstanding leads Mobei Jun - and everyone else in their class - to think Xiang Fei has a crush on him.
Xiang Fei spends entirely too much time trying to convince them (and himself) that that's not true. It's not!
(It doesn't work.)
